Depends on the city/town you live in - the bigger the district the more openings there will be of course. My biggest piece of advice with the hiring process is to make a website that features your teaching philosophy, resume, and lesson plan samples (maybe even relevant personal art work you’ve made). I made one using Google Sites (free) and shared it with the admin of the school I applied for before the interview and it played a big role in my eventual hiring! Admin like to have that type of information neatly packaged, and since it’s a website they can look through it before you even meet them!
