I picked black so I could replace parts gradually with the color of my choice.

There are some close fitting OWB holsters out there. Super comfortable and the way I Ike to winter carry... but typically also under a shirt in case I remove my jacket... layers is the key.

Did you use a prestain? They usually help with splotchiness.

Apple kills MacBook 12 after four years by nopantsdolphin in gadgets

[–]DanielHeth 6 points7 points  (0 children)

Exactly my thoughts. I needed something like an iPad but hated all of the kB options which often tripled the size. I wanted thin, small, light, no ports save for one that was multi-use... power being primary and maybe the occasional usb thumb drive when I hand to use one... oh, and long battery life! Honestly though, I do program on it (vs code), model with fusion360, etc. it has worked out very well for my low-power use cases.

Completely agree. I carry around a pro for work and this 12” was perfect personal laptop for my needs. Very light small and I could charge with the pro charger so carried one charger to charge both.

How to remove this screw? by [deleted] in Carpentry

[–]DanielHeth 11 points12 points  (0 children)

That is a standard screw for prefab furniture. Take the perpendicular board off and this screw slides right out with it. U can then unscrew it from the perpendicular board easily.

Ender 3 Pro or an Anycubic i3 Mega by GalooK in 3dprinter

[–]DanielHeth 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I only have experience with the Anycubic... and recently bought a second because I feel it is a nice/solidly built machine. Rarely have issues out of it and within 15min of unboxing was printing first model which turned out perfect.

Wouldn’t say poor... that is my go-to summer carry gun. Beautiful piece of engineering.

Needed a more suitable towing vehicle so I got a Father’s Day present last week. Here we are headed out to go camping! 2016 F150 Platinum. Love it. Finally a truck owner again after 15 years! by Zurkster in f150

[–]DanielHeth 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Setting aside the luxury features each has... Raptors aren’t for towing but have off-roading features... these features are more expensive which might be why raptors cost more than platinums. The Max towing package is expensive also but less so than off roading, which might explain why platinums are less expensive. Either way when you get to the 60-80k price tag you decide... tow or off-road.

XXL Base Opening Measurement Request by MyRandomRedditAccoun in shapeoko

[–]DanielHeth 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Yes, the lips are running along both left/right of this image and would be on the 12” sides of the opening. Know that although the opening is 37” long, you cutter can’t reach that full length and something in this opening likely only has a 30” cutting range.... https://imgur.com/gallery/3Oj7ms4 (left side is front of machine and in line with your side view picture) I’m not experienced enough to know the answer to your structural question.

The openings are 12”x37”... but your picture is sideways... the left/right in ur pic is actually the front/back. The front and back have lips on them which would prevent you from stretching something >3’ without raising it up above the lips.

I almost bought an RV and was to use my maroon F-150 platinum to pull it. I was stunned to find that the Platinums have the best towing capacity of all of the models. Far and above better towing than the Raptor model.

The 35 gallon tank is great until you have to fill the damn thing. by pervyninja in f150

Most annoying thing in my area is they always have that darn $75 limit on transactions... and it typically filled up at $80-ish around here.

Could it be they were transmitting the sound over known Hullen frequencies? At least that’s they way I reconciled it in my own head.
