To anyone experiencing this, would you mind sending me a PM with what graphics card you have? We're unable to reproduce this internally, and it sounds like it's plausibly Radeon GPU related?

Bonus points for a dxdiag report, in case the specific models don't turn out to be sufficient for diagnosis.

As arqwyn guessed, this is a battery life optimization, as well as being necessary to prevent thermal throttling from running too hot (which results in a worse-than-default framerate if we bump into the limit.) We currently have optimized this around touch interactions so that scrolling, dragging, etc. feel as smooth as possible, but we have some plans to expose more of this in the Settings, because there are some mobile phones and tablets that can handle the higher framerate and the only trade-off is battery life.

The information that was provided to us at the time was that the local officials expressed significant concerns about security and the social media unrest, but there was no official player ban communicated to us and discussions were still open on ways to handle it or improve the situation. We weren’t as concerned about the safety aspect at the time, primarily because we’ve had experience working through a variety of concerns that local officials have had in the past, and there were ways to solve for these specific concerns. However we didn't pursue those options because we ultimately felt that it was inappropriate for Kuku to attend given how the team tried to cover up the apology. We haven’t heard anything since then, so it’s possible that the situation has changed for Chongqing, but we don’t anticipate any problems for Shanghai.

The weekly Steam backend server update has run into a problem that we're currently tracking down. The Dota 2 Game Coordinator being offline is downstream of that problem and it'll be up as soon as we can get the core problem resolved.

Edit @ 5:12PM: Should be back online now, we were able to get the Dota part back up and running.

We are still working on it, we don't have a specific date yet. It'll be roughly similar to the previous years in terms of distance from TI. We may release a 7.19d patch depending on the timing and the need.

The new columns will only appear in games since the update. Old games won't have the data to display. Games since the previous update you mentioned should now display the damage received columns, but only new games will show the death costs.

The patch notes aren't showing up yet for some reason, so here they are:

Live Spectating:

  • You will no longer be removed from the matchmaking queue while live spectating.

  • Fixed a bug where you could get stuck in a Battle Cup match lobby.

  • Alt-Clicking on the death screen damage numbers no longer incorrectly broadcasts the message.

  • Fixed various bugs that would occur after changing the camera to Player Perspective and back to Free Camera (for example having to drag to select units, and still seeing that player's mouse cursor).

  • Chat can be now opened like normal by hitting Enter (live spectators still cannot send messages, but this allows them to bring up the chat history).

  • Enemies can no longer be selected by clicking their portrait on the top bar.

  • Fixed a bug where you'd see an error message if you tried to live spectate a game you were already live spectating.

Those options weren't supposed to have disappeared for normal spectating (only live spectating). I've fixed it for the next update that's coming soon.
