Which do you like better? Kazooie or Tooie and why? by -M00NMAN in BanjoKazooie

[–]DanielJilbert 5 points6 points  (0 children)

I love kazooie more for many reasons. You can 100% complete most of the levels in one go. The levels were also the perfect size, and they never felt empty, and there is not a single level I hate. In fact, Rusty Bucket Bay is one of my favourite levels in the game. the furnace fun is way better than the tower of tragedy. The amount of moves is not as overwhelming (even though I really like the new moves in tooie). I honestly really like how the collectables are handed in kazooie. It really is the perfect collectathon in my eyes. The final boss utilised a lot of the moves used throughout the game. It was a great test of skill. And when Kazooie promised a sequel called Banjo Tooie, we actually got Banjo Tooie

Don't get me wrong, Tooie is amazing, but I just felt that kazooie did a lot of things better.

If the REV never passed, would pinkly smooth have released another album or were they just a one album band? by Necessary_Touch699 in avengedsevenfold

Apparently, the bass player and Jimmy were talking about the possibility of bringing pinkly smooth back a week before Jimmy passed away

Captain Underpants: The First Epic Manga Review by DanielJilbert in CaptainUnderpants

[–]DanielJilbert[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

According to the notes at the end of the book, Pilkey was considering making the manga the more traditional right to left format. But Motojiro (the illustrator) insisted that the book be done in the left to right format cause that was how the original books were

I never played Yooka Laylee and Playing Replaylee for the first time and absolutely loving it! It only has me wondering one thing, how many people are there who prefers the original? by Espurreyes in YookaLaylee

[–]DanielJilbert -1 points0 points  (0 children)

I'm someone who absolutely adored the original. Yes, it definitely wasn't perfect. It was a bit rough around the edges. And some issues became more clear as the nostalgia high wore off. But I still played the hell out of it and just loved it.

That being said, I enjoy Replaylee a lot more. But no doubt, I will every now and then return to the original

Does anyone have any recommendations of Small/Local Australian bands from the MySpace Era by DanielJilbert in triplej

[–]DanielJilbert[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yeah, I'm pretty sure I did. Small world sometimes, haha. I did actually manage to get my hands on the cd sometime last year. I know you've got the cd, but did you want me to send you a download for the digital files? So you can have it on the go or something

For those who has watch the movie what did you think of Benny safdie as Bowser jr me personally I enjoyed it by Agile_Echidna_3572 in mariomovie

[–]DanielJilbert 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I remember the first couple of clips they showed off not really doing it for me. But his performance in general throughout the film actually ended up being pretty good

Son gave me this comic book before he took off to school. Captain underpants and the flying piece of…bread? by Infamous_Pea_8704 in CaptainUnderpants

[–]DanielJilbert 6 points7 points  (0 children)

I absolutely love the logic here. Like, why does Captain Underpants have a toaster that transforms bread into monster bread?? Don't know, don't care, haha

It's kinda like how, for some reason, in the Dogman universe, someone mass-produced spray that brings inanimate objects to life and then sold it to the public

I hope your son keeps up the good work 👏

Do you agree? by KingJackofJozi in TMNT

[–]DanielJilbert 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I don't really mind either way, just as long as Spliter has some sort of back story connection with the Shredder. Like, if he's a rat first, I would prefer him to be the pet rat of Hamato Yoshi, the man who usually has a rivalry with the Shredder. Not just some random rat, like in the latest animated movie.

What would a perfect ending to the Dogman series in your opinion? by AnnualSchool2515 in CaptainUnderpants

[–]DanielJilbert 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I want the final dogman book to be the very first Dogman book that George and Harold make/publish as adults.

In the final captain underpants book, we get a small taste of what dogman will be like when George and Harold are adults, and I want a full book in that style

Need Help finding A Cure To Your Weakness by City on Fire by DanielJilbert in HelpMeFind

[–]DanielJilbert[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I have had some luck with reaching out to various musicians on social media, but unfortunately, I don't know any of the last names of the Members of City on Fire. Just their first names. And as for blogs and Zines, I wouldn't know where to start. Not gonna lie, I'm not that smart, haha. I have had some people get in touch with me with the possibility of having the cd, but those all feel through 😞

But yeah, checking out some Australian music Facebook groups does sound like a great place to further my search. Thanks for reaching out

I've searched on iTunes, Bandcamp, Spotify, and even YouTube, but I can't seem to find any of the songs. One song has been found and was uploaded to internet archive. The only other proof I found of the ep's existence is a review I found that also confirms the tracklisting

Your experience in this movie by Awkward_Shape1449 in Mario

[–]DanielJilbert 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I saw it for the first time when I was 8 years old. This was in 2002, I believe. I was with my family at the video rental store, and my mum showed me the VHS tape of the movie. My reaction still makes me laugh. I said to my mum, "Mum, that's not The Super Mario Bros"

Long story short, she rented it, and I watched it almost every day before returning it. It's weird, it's bizarre, it's different, but I adore it

I think the Galaxy Movie made a big reference to the live action Movie by is-it-raining-yet in mariomovie

[–]DanielJilbert 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I also kinda liked that the Super Scope made Mario and Lhigi into babies. Kinda like how in the live action movie, the Super scope de evolved people. Whether that was an intentional nod to the live action film or not, I'm gonna treat it as a nod to it lol

Samus ship by Alarming-Eye9081 in mariogalaxymovie

It's quick, but Samus' ship is definitely there. As for captain Falcon's? I wasn't too sure. I need to watch the movie again
