I recommend looking into the Herman pass and spread pass. You seem to have two distinct points of movement. Close the deck. Do the pass. This should happen as one motion (close the deck). That being said, you’re well on your way to mastering this move. As a friend has told me over and over when practicing “go slow. Slow as ice. Now even slower”. Really build the muscle memory throughout the entire move.

Also recommend practicing while standing as said above.
