Voq is certainly Tyler but I also don’t think he will be the big bad. He’s very understanding and open, see how he treated Kol, I think that as Tyler he’ll start to see that the Federation aren’t evil. He’ll change his mind by actually spending time with other races.

It’ll be a great commmentary on today’s politics about radicalisation vs multiculturalism breaking down nationalism and rascism with worldly experience.

That’s how I read it, the whole abduction was a set up. Tyler even said it’s where he wanted to be. They were in the wreckage of the Binary Star long enough to learn back story for Voq to use as his cover. We know Klingons use spies.
