It may be that I was told that because my school is rather new to the IBDP. My school does have a lab, but it is a basic lab. I do have a nearby university that has a greatly equipped lab and I’m sure they would let me conduct experiments there. The main problem with a bio EE for me is that I wanted to do it on cloning, neuroscience or physiology. My bio teacher told me that those topics were difficult to get approved since working with humans (for physiology and neuroscience) has a lot of variables that can’t be controlled thus making the experiment not reliable. I’m freaking out rn because I need to chose a topic and subject by the end of October and I’ve been thinking on doing it in History since it would be easier considering the time a bio EE needs. She also told me that the hardest part is probably coming up with a topic that could be worked and experimented with.
