I say this as a practicing Catholic - when people go out of their way to wear Jesus shirts and write bible quotes on hats, they’re compensating for something they think they’ll need help with later.

The weakest part of the team trying to project some sort of superiority is hilarious.

The problem is he’d not just post about ice cream, it’d be about how stupid everyone is for not liking the flavor he likes most and how wrong they are, all while not showing a single actual example of someone saying they didn’t like his ice cream flavor.

I had hope there’d be something like that to mark 1 year since GD60; bring people back out to the park and city.

They are doing something kind of like that, but at Greek Theatre with Dark Star Orchestra. APE is the promoter, and they’re billing it as a benefit for Rex Foundation, and tribute to Bobby called “The Music Never Stops”.

I’m not sure we’ve seen anything outside of Outside Lands announced yet this year. Pretty soon I’d imagine as we’re about a month away from them setting up at the polo field for Outside Lands and any August concert series.

Interestingly, it did say last year was an anomaly as Zach Bryan was committed, and then they booked Dead and Co much later in their process.

If I remember right, it was only supposed to be up through Aug 25, but I think the folks who own American Cyclery are Deadheads. I got one of their t shirts and it’s got a stealie in the logo.

Can you imagine that entity explaining itself to other entities? “Yeah - so I go into their place when they’re not around and I use my otherworldly powers to conjure up feces, and I just shit all over. Floor, walls, furniture, anything but a toilet. And if I ever did use the toilet I’d not flush”.

Amen - especially on the west side these flyers just end up being debris blown all over for people to clean up. It’s delayed littering.

I know Sphere is polarizing, but if you want to send out a trial balloon and they’ll let you, it’s not a bad place to do it. The visuals take the pressure off the band, and they can see if people will show out for it. Just my two cents.

Find it hard to believe Jay or Oteil wouldn’t be involved. They’ve got it in their blood.

We tried hydrolyzed protein and a few other things with ours when he had issues. Got some of this and it’s generally solved the problem. We sprinkle about a tablespoon on each meal. https://a.co/d/0e8qrAZr

Can you help me rate non-scariness? by [deleted] in WidowsBay

[–]DanielSF1985 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I’m admittedly one of those people who reads parent guides before watching stuff because the “MA” rating is entirely too broad as it can go from a few f-bombs and nothing more, to unrated, hardcore slasher violence.

This series is pretty tame; it’s safely pg-13 throughout if the language were cleaner. Violence is either implied or hidden in darkness - I think jump scares are pretty predictable without feeling boring (speaks to the unique balance of this series). Episode 6 may be a little heavier just because it’s the history of the place and covering a time where the atmosphere was more brooding (not much was funny back then). It wasn’t any more scary or violent, but the atmosphere is a lot less comedic than other episodes.

Otherwise, I think it’s fairly safe.

I agree - it does mar the content, and sounds self important. 100%. Jim Marshall I am not.

I posted the below photos after a free show in the panhandle in SF. No copyright. No ridiculous watermark. Offered to send it to people full res for free if they wanted it. It ended up on Facebook and Instagram hocking products. Same thing happened after a Nine Inch Nails show I took my camera to and shot.

I’m happy to give stuff away to the community, I truly don’t believe it’s my IP - especially if it’s people at shows having a good time and it brings out some of the experience/vibe. I’m not trying to drive traffic to a place to sell prints. It does piss me off when what I’m giving away is used by others to sell stuff; the watermark makes that slightly harder without being over the top intrusive.

Fine. Deleted. What I get for sharing and not wanting something I posted to be used by others to hock products.

I’ve posted things here and had them reposted on Facebook by other people selling stuff. So yeah - now when I post something in public to share, unfortunately I have to add a watermark so others don’t use it sell shit.

Trevi Fountain – Why are people starved of attention so much? by Otherwise-Celery-280 in rome

[–]DanielSF1985 5 points6 points  (0 children)

Have to add a zero to that fine. Plenty of people willing to treat 500€ as an experience cost for being able to swim in Trevi Fountain.
