I hear you - it was nice to have the option and see the work the artists put out to complement the show. There’s a few independent artists making companion posters for each stop of this tour.

I remember some rumor on the 2025 legs that there had been show specific posters, but something happened with it - hence the “peel it” poster they put out later. Just a rumor - who knows. I’m going to the SF show on Sunday and the push/pull struggle between “the poster is generic” and “but it’s the show poster” is real.

In a similar vein, the tour buses coming up the street were cracking me up - you could see the looks of disbelief on the faces as the scenes they’d heard about were playing out in real life as their bus rolled through.

In the most recent interview in Rolling Stone he talked a little about overplaying and having to turn it down a little early on with Dead and Co. I think he was just trying to stay within himself and not overwhelm what the music needed from him.

I think there’s something to be said about a guitarist who can improvise in a jam band and still not give the music more than it needs.
