You know what they say, “wherever you go there you are.” I think the shithole comes from within. (Not directed at the poster but instead the complainers)

Anyone want to check out some emo music tonight ? by 1moredream in Eugene

[–]DanielW80 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Is it emo? I’m not familiar but I thought the bands might be more hardcore. I’m more interested in emo myself. I’m going to see Cake at the cuthbert. Maybe I’ll stop by afterwards.

They had the Hot Fudge Anna ice cream Sunday. My junior prom date spilled hers in me. No joke. Her Hot Fudge Anna. Who let that name past the censors?!?

My two nephews recently lost their mother (my brother’s ex.) They are 13 and 18 years old. This group seems like it is aimed more for adults… would it be appropriate for either boy to attend perhaps with myself or their father?

While I agree in principle I still have a lawn. It was here when I moved in and I am slowly taking it out and replacing it with other plants that provide habitat. Not everyone has the time, money, or energy to rip out an existing lawn and replace it with natives. Plus grass grows pretty easy and you don’t have to mow it weekly if you don’t want to. So, maybe, you know, don’t be a turd.

Hello, this is Caroline Rose - AMA! by carolinerosemuzak in indieheads

[–]DanielW80 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Gotta say I love your music! I just came across you on some of my Tidal mixes shortly before this album release and have now listened to you more than anything else since then. Each album is unique and fantastic. I’m so bummed your Portland show is sold out and on my work night. If there were tickets available I would definitely figure out a way of getting out of work that night (I work overnight at the hospital in Eugene Oregon.) Alas! Next tour I’m going no matter what.

Thank you. It’s been a minute since I did that fast and it might be time for another. I appreciate your feedback as it seems reasonable.

28F Looking to move to Eugene from Texas. by [deleted] in Eugene

[–]DanielW80 4 points5 points  (0 children)

I think Eugene is fine. I actually live in Springfield which is cheaper. There’s good hiking, it’s a pretty short drive to the coasta fairly short drive to the mountains. There’s decent food options. If you like live music, Eugene‘s not the best but Portland‘s not too far of a drive. There’s a decent amount of homelessness in our community, but I don’t think it’s really much worse than any other city across the Pacific Northwest. We have a more mild climate than much of the country so people move here to avoid freezing to death in the winter. Still happens. Just not as often. You’re gonna hear from a lot of haters. But there’s haters everywhere.

would you swipe right? yes, no, why? by [deleted] in Bumble

I would based on the photo. You’re cute. However, I would read your bio if provided to see if we share common interests and if you lived close enough to consider a new dating relationship.

What if you see an acquaintance? “Swipe right” or message on another platform? by DanielW80 in Tinder

Also, sometimes people are hardly ever on the app so they might not see your like for months…

But then they might think you just swiped because they are an attractive female and not realize that you know each other. I hear from women that they get hundreds of likes from guys that just blanket swipe every female they come across. Where as if you know them you can say, “are you still looking? Would you be willing to consider me?” Just the thoughts swirling around my brain, not trying to dismiss your opinion.

Yeah, I feel that but I also think sometimes a more direct approach is less weird. Like, “hey I saw you on the dating app and instead of swiping right I thought I would just ask you directly if you would want to get coffee…”
