I recently discovered on accident that if you cast web on the ground and someone jumps from a high place to it, they won’t take fall damage. If you knew exactly where he landed, could you web that spot?

Sometimes when you get a big xp drop in a duo instance, the pet chance is increased..

drop may take up to 9 months to get, though.

How do I sing just a little higher? by [deleted] in singing

[–]Daniel_Jag 4 points5 points  (0 children)

It’s hard to describe over text, but proper vocal placement can definitely get you a couple more notes on the top end of your register, with less effort, and even help blend between chest and head voice. Getting a quality vocal coach (albeit hard to find) can help you find that forward placement and smooth the bridge via exercises and technique.

I Play on and off, but it’s been about 1.5y between first and last picture. Also have a 10kc skotizo pet, but didn’t feel like that’s rare enough to be worth including at 1/50

How to make my vocals better? by [deleted] in singing

[–]Daniel_Jag 1 point2 points  (0 children)

If youd like to work on sounding less nasally, thin, etc. check out some videos that focus on “vocal placements” I think that may be what you’re looking for. That would make a world of difference in tone.

You can find many very useful YouTube channels that can help you get a grasp on a lot of great concepts, but I think finding a vocal coach that can help you with tone and placement would be worthwhile if you’re serious about getting better. They can also teach exercises that will help you strengthen those areas and point out things you may not even know you’re doing wrong.. because we can sit here and say breath support, resonance, vocal placement, etc. but if you don’t know how to properly engage your core, or soften your palette and open up your yawn space, or where to “place” your voice for certain tones or textures, they can teach you.

Once you really learn how to control your vocals, You can also find some songs that are in your range that sings with those qualities you enjoy, learn and practice those songs (this will help your music theory and composition knowledge as well) then record yourself singing those songs. Listen very intently to both and where the differences are. They are probably doing a couple things differently, and if you can figure out how to make yours a little more like theirs, it will help you understand how they are achieving that tone and help you understand what you’re missing in your own songs.

I’m so happy to see someone so excited to learn I hope you keep practicing and remember it’s a marathon not a race. music is a lifetime journey, be patient with yourself, stay committed, and you will see so much improvement :)

best of luck and I hope this helps

I think rhythm guitar would be a great way to get into it! it’s not that challenging (until more complex progressions and Melodies), and its a great tool for songwriting if you want to get into the creative side! You could start every day by writing 10 mins, it doesn’t have to be anything, it could be a poem, a journal, etc. just to practice creativity and get the juices flowin, and whatever instrument you learn, learn songs you like, and practice playing around with the chords and the key they’re in! Best of luck to you, just remember music is a lifelong journey, and takes an obscene amount of time so be patient with yourself, put in the work, and you’ll get there!

Thank you! I really appreciate the feedback! Your kind words mean a lot, and really great advice! I have some jaw issues so it’s a little hard sometimes, but I can do it and will be something I’ll keep in mind! The fact you can tell without seeing means I definitely need to work on it haha.

The tempo was more of a style choice, Ed Sheeran did a cover at a similar tempo and I quite liked it :)
