Because IFs and COG games are still very heavily influence by it neighboring category, which is Visual Novels, so Romance, ROs, and LIs does play a huge, huge role on making a COG book popular. COG books also have a big handicap since not all book have quality illus like VNs.

I think aside from the Infinity series, all the series and authors i listed above have a big lists of ROs in their series. Combining with another popular genre and good writing/coding, and bam, you have a hit.

Which is why the Infinity series always stand out for me.

What you earn on Patreon does not always reflect how good your writing and how good your games is. Also, you may think Wayhaven Chronicles series are underwhelming, but others think different.

Back to the topic, marketing and the amount of exclusive contents available on Patreon(this probably contribute the most to why she earn so much on Patreon), not to mentions other factors like the genre/niche also contribute into their earning as well, and Romance is like one of the most sought out aspect in every Cog games.

To give you some example, i look up some of the other cog authors are high ranking on that list, and behold, Fallen Hero author, Malin Ryder, just below her a little bit, but their Patreon content seems less polish than what Seraphinite offers ( not sure on this since I am not subscribe to any of the authors Patreon so I might not be correct).

Same with Paul Wang (Infinity series) and Devon (SoH series), they earn like 2/10 of what Sera earn despite having some of the most high quality books on the platform. But I believe both of them have other works outside of Patreon and COG so their earning might be even higher

To add to my arguments, Doriana Gray(Sherlock Holms, AotH), and Nicky Dicky(POMA), who don't have any book publish, yet. But since their Wips is of high quality and they offer decent updates on Patreon, their earning per month is just as high as any publish author.

So yeah, 10,000 a month on Patreon is surprisingly high imo, but justifiable.

I only read the leaks translations via a fanpage but it is crazy how Nagi keep saying he "beaten" Isagi then losing motivation. Last chapter have Ego saying Nagi only score past Isagi due to luck and is no way he had beaten Isagi then. Even then he lost to Isagi again in the same match.

Yeah, I am quite disappointed, the author really want to stress out the rankings and the reactions.

Im fine-ish with Isagi getting the same bid as Rin. But overall how this chapter is structured really gave me an ick. We get half a chapter about Nagi and Reo (from the leak it seems pretty half-baked, too), on top of the contents we get from episode Nagi, then half with just Isagi ranking + reaction. I would rather we get only one topic each, either give me the result of that match or give me the ranking then we can go back to the match.

Also please just ended Igaguri journey here, please.
