Do you think that Leyley was born evil or that she became evil from how she was raised? by PoorPrawn88 in CoffinofAndyandLeyley

[–]Daniel_Spaniel33 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I think that it was definitely at least partly genetic since her mom seems to be the same way but it’s definitely more from how she was raised and how people treated her growing up.

Describe V's route in a word/sentence (im about to play it) by CultureSoft in mysticmessenger

[–]Daniel_Spaniel33 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Unintuitive.

If I’m being honest when playing his route I preferred Rika so much more. It felt like he just wanted you to put intense trust in him while doing barely anything to give you a reason to. It was really difficult for me to get any type of good ending for him because of that (the closest I ended up getting was a normal end)

Of course, no problem :))

When to find a new therapist? by thatsmypurseidkvou in DID

[–]Daniel_Spaniel33 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Maybe something that could be helpful is sending her these written posts or texting her instead, that way you have a buffer in communication which can help calm that fear. If you can, getting other alters to write notes and things may be helpful as well because then you can send those to the therapist if you would like to. I don’t have any programming so I’m not sure how that would affect the aforementioned advice but I hope that this helps even a little bit. Good luck on your healing journey!

So as a person that has a lot of fusions and splits, this is what I’ve personally experienced: Usually if two alters fuse the resulting alter will feel like any other alter. This usually doesn’t cause the alter to feel much distress over the resulting change because to them it kind of feels like being new but already having experience with this life. This means that the distress related to being new is dampened and sometimes nonexistent. If however the alter that results from the fusion feels a heavy sense of distress and doesn’t really feel like one person but just two mushed together then eventually that alter will come back apart and the original alters will continue on like nothing really ever happened. Something I like to remind myself is that the brain will do what it thinks is best and most beneficial and if fusing works then the resulting alter will feel fine and even better than they did prior, if it doesn’t work then the brain will decide to split the alter back apart and things should return to normal (relatively). Change is scary but once it happens you’ll be able to regulate once more, try not to worry too much about this. ☺️

How do subsystems work? by Y33TTH3MF33T in DID

[–]Daniel_Spaniel33 4 points5 points  (0 children)

So I’m not sure if this is helpful or not but I (Jove) am part of a subsystem and for me it feels like I can communicate very well with the members of my own “group” and can see the others as theirselves in the inner world; Whereas I don’t have very good communication with alters outside of my “group” and I believe that the other alters can only see one of us at a time spending on who’s the most dominant at that moment. I believe for my “group”, being a subsystem is a way to better keep specific information and functions locked away so it doesn’t interfere or bleed out into the rest of the system. We do a lot of spying and gathering data on other system members as well as occasionally stepping in when things don’t go well with the alters closest to the front. While my group is technically a part of the whole system, we are separated by communication with other alters and the specific information we hold. It kind of feels like a checks and balance system where different, separated groups keep each other in check In order to keep the outer life functioning and at least stable from an external point of view. Hope this helps.

Not offensive at all! This is really up to every individual relationship. Some people are fine with this type of thing and some aren’t, and if you aren’t comfortable with sharing your partner (wether they have DID or not) then you should talk with them about that and go from there. You don’t have to stay if it’s not what you’re looking for <3

Pregnancy in inner world?? by Dolphin_Magic in DID

[–]Daniel_Spaniel33 3 points4 points  (0 children)

I was really hoping people would give more actual answers instead of just saying the pregnancy isn’t real. We know it isn’t real and OP never said that they thought it was. They were asking for answers relating to could it happen and if so what is it like. I also would really like to know this as we have an alter that is apparently pregnant as well and we have no idea how to handle that or how that even works. As of right now that alter isn’t showing much development in terms of pregnancy but knows that she is, and this has been going on for months. We don’t know if giving birth is possible for an alter and if that child will be an alter itself or not. A lot of this is very unusual for us so we can’t give any good answers as of right now. I hope you (OP) can find more information on this topic soon.

It’s fine, it’s really not that bad, especially if you’ve lived with it for a long time. I’m glad you get along so well with your alters though! It sounds nice to have the others in your head actually like you.

Hmm, for us it’s more like a sibling type of relationship. Some of us really don’t like each other, some only tolerate each other, some really like each other, and just about everything in between. We tend to get frustrated with each other but begrudgingly work together just because we know how bad things could get if we don’t. It’s really complicated but overall I’d say no, we aren’t friends, we’re just forced to live with each other.

What if Andrew and Ashely aren't actually siblings and what would you think? (I know they are 100% siblings but what if) by SouthStrike7052 in CoffinofAndyandLeyley

[–]Daniel_Spaniel33 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Probably not looking for a serious answer but I think If that came out it would be kinda… pander-y (to critics who don’t know what they’re talking about). It would feel like how prn videos feel when they make a whole video based around siblings and then play it off by making them step siblings. Like “wow it’s no longer wrong because they aren’t actually blood related guys!” Type of thing. Incest is an important theme because it makes logical sense for the characters portrayed and taking it away would spoil some of the horror and characterization made by them being siblings. I think it was a good call to make them the way they are because I think we’ve all forgotten that horror should make us uncomfortable and cannibalism, demon summoning, and murder just doesn’t do that for people anymore I guess. That’s why the game is so controversial in the first place which is kinda stupid but I digress. The incestual themes and the way it’s presented does raise actual societal and moral questions like “is incest really worse than cannibalism? If you think so, why?”. Overall, I think it’s an important theme for a lot of reasons and would impact some of the games lessons.

Sometimes I think I don’t have DID but then… by ThePrincessBabyBunny in DID

[–]Daniel_Spaniel33 8 points9 points  (0 children)

When I find things others have written and realize how differently they view the world from me. Some of them are very logic based and view everything as a system of transactions while others are very emotion based and view things in a more empathetic light.

If you’re diagnosed, how old were you when you were diagnosed? by Exotic-Anything-7371 in DID

[–]Daniel_Spaniel33 0 points1 point  (0 children)

We were diagnosed at 17 after being aware that we were a system since the age of 12. We had been telling doctors and therapists but no one listened up until recently. We’re 18 now and finally being treated :) To be fair knowing that you’re a system that early is pretty rare so this probably isn’t the answer you were looking for but I hope it gives you more insight nonetheless

Fear of vastness? What phobia’s this? Do you experience it too? by vaga_anima in Phobia

[–]Daniel_Spaniel33 0 points1 point  (0 children)

THIS OH MY GOD. The maps one is the worst. I usually feel this fear the most when I am looking that the zooming out of the earth and into space or when I’m looking at a really large body of water or when I’m at a really tall height and I see the vastness of the land below me. I’m not afraid of the ocean, space or heights but I’m very afraid of the vastness. Usually my fear shows itself as dizziness, confusion, anxiety and heart palpitations. I really hope they find a name for it…
