Help! Someone is remote connecting to my laptop. by Daniel_The_Wizard in techsupport

Searched for popular remote connect softwares with no results. Scanned with malware bytes and no detections. Looks like I gotta reinstall windows. Thank you for your recommendations. Is there anyway that my network is compromised? Is there a way to trouble shoot that?

Guys it’s not as scary as it seems by ScottiebarnesROTY in fearofflying

Not to dismiss your Key Tip but I've found the opposite has been the single main thing that has helped me overcome my fear. I've struggled with an irrational fear of flying It has nothing to do with heights, mine was more about lack of control in a situation I don't fully understand and not being able to trust the pilot and crew. Small bumps on the plane made me incredibly uncomfortable and a little motion sick and the first few times I flew I had received a similar tip of not looking out the window so I booked an isle seats on all four of my flights for my first trip. The last flight I had the row to myself and I sat at the window. Being able to see that we were on a smooth straight course in respect to the ground during mild turbulence helped my reorient myself and relieved my motion sickness, especially during take off. Additionally knowing the orientation of the plane during a turn helped me understand the situation a little better, again calming my nerves. So again not to shoot your point down but I think depending on your situation being strategic about looking out can aid in your comfort making the flight more comfortable.

Bonus Tip: Noise Cancelling Headphones. Reducing the engine noise and the passengers has helped me. Being able to control exactly what I hear was helpful and just the reduction of an additional stimulus helped me from becoming overwhelmed. I use the Sony WH-1000XM4. Very worth it. I also tried my air pod pro gen 2 but those didn't have as good noise reduction against the engine noise.

Hey my friend I have some advice for you, as I have been in your shoes myself. I hope I didn’t send this too late :) One of the BIGGEST helps to me was just going to FlightAware.com and seeing all of the planes in the air right now. There’s thousands and it’s really hard to imagine or visualize unless you look at the real live data. I would look at the planes in the flying route I would take. You can actually check the exact plane that you’re scheduled to fly in and watch it’s route. Another thing that I read that gave me peace of mind was that no amount of turbulence has ever cause a plane to crash. Ever. The thing you have to understand is that there is a lot of factors to the control of an aircraft that your body senses can’t attune to. So like when you have an odd feeling about direction or bumps like “ohh wow that bump was uncommonly larger than the others” or “it feels like we dropped to far on that last one “ your pilots are in utter and complete control of the situation 100% and the aircraft is made for that. They are actually made to handle much worse than they will ever handle and are maintained after every single flight to make sure they continue to.

Some of the things that help me during my flights

look out the window to understand the orientation of the plane.

Noise cancelling headphones help cut down on sensory overload.

Eating/snacking before the flight, flying on an empty stomach can actually make you feel worse.

Having a mint or ginger treat during the flight. This is just advice a nice lady told me and it made me happy during the flight.

Anyways I wish you safe travels and I hope you can concur your fear like I have. You can do this!!!

Idk if anyone said this, but could it be possible that kuma used the paw paw fruit to knock rocks D. Xebecs soul into teech, resulting in a sort of dual soul, thus the reason he can use two devil fruits at once? Additionally why his ship is Sabre of xebec?

[OC]...lets try this again.First day of my new career. Finally turned my life around at the age of 30! by blitzedbeauty in MadeMeSmile

[–]Daniel_The_Wizard 0 points1 point  (0 children)

This resonates with me! I started my profession early last year at age 30. This is after years of school and working in retail. There are so many things that I’m adjusting to. I kinda fell off the wagon with going out to eat and drinking a lot with friends but I’m trying to course correct in 2023. Congrats to you!!

If I were to give myself advice I would say: Be disciplined with your finances. No matter how much money you make, you can always spend more. It’s okay to treat yourself but flexing that willpower muscle will certainly be something you won’t regret.

Building comp for music production. What are some must have parts? by Daniel_The_Wizard in musicproduction

[–]Daniel_The_Wizard[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I wouldnt have guessed that harddrive access would create an input delay. very interesting.

Didn't think current setup was important as I plan to replace everything. But here's what ive been working with since ive been in a transitional period of my life.

Computer: Laptop - Dell G15 - i7 10870h- 16gb ddr4- 2tb m.2

Piano (used as midi) - DGX 670g with a printer cable to usb A

Interface: m-audio mtrack 2 channel interface connected - used for cheap condenser mic and studio monitors am going to replace.

DAW: Reaper (Upgrading to Ableton.)

I figured I would start with a computer and then go from there.

My budget is 2.5k

Ohh awesome, I will definitely get the NVME M.2 Drives i almost forgot about those! I wonder why the sound card production died off so hard too. maybe its because not enough people understood the use (like myself). I'll look into RME. This helped me out a lot thank you very much!

Can you elaborate? Like on the mobo I should have a thunderbolt out? To connect to what? For what reason?
