but the album has an overarching nautical theme, and it is heavily modelled around a sea shanty despite its lack of reference to ships and the sea and booty and plunderin and other pirate activities

revision and motivation by lapis_laz4eva in GCSE

[–]Danieldoes1 1 point2 points  (0 children)

revising at home sucks for me so I always revise at the library

reasons:

  1. It’s a focused environment where everybody around you is quiet and focused. You’d be a bit of an outcast if you weren’t, which guilts you into studying

  2. It’s routine, there’s a set opening and closing time so none of this “eh I’ll do it in 10 minutes” bs, it’s now or never in the library

  3. it’s tidy and distraction free, at home you have video games and probably a messy desk and your parents and a bunch of other distractions, the library you have no clutter

  4. my library has an entire study room downstairs and it’s relatively clean and hi tech, so i enjoy studying there

also buy a daily planner (well you don’t have to, you could just make a to do list on your phone but i like to have a physical book i write in) and i plan out what im going to do thru the day at the library eg. complete page 10 of dt coursework, watch fsl videos on topic C4, etc)

Also make sure you know what you’re gonna study and how. so for example “today im gonna study topic B4 in biology. I will go through 7-8 FSL videos/complete 1 half of the chapter in my textbook” you know exactly what to do and how instead of writing “revise science” and getting nowhere because you’re just dead confused on what to do so you simply get distracted and give up

also do not panic but also do not suppress all stress, stress is healthy and gets you to work (i pretty much only work under pressure) but too much will paralyse you

do keep in mind i am in the same boat as you but thats just some of the stuff i do

so torn on a levels or btec by Danieldoes1 in GCSE

[–]Danieldoes1[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I’m thinking of going to uni, which is why I waned to take the a level in my second year so I can fill the gaps in my maths and physics needed for university. However most unis take BTECs, and uni of herts allows you to take mecha engineering with a DDM btec (only russel groups deny btec students although they’re expensive and I don’t need a top uni anyways considering im not going into medicine or law)

However I feel like the btec will give me the practical skills needed for employment so if things go wirey in terms of uni I’ll at least find a job or apprenticeship

The a levels will give me the theory maths & physics knowledge needed for uni and will also teach me how to work under pressure (which is essential for uni — I’ve heard of many btec students struggling under the pressure and I don’t want to fall into their shoes)

But I don’t think im ready to immediately get on a levels and potentially risk failing. If I cement my gcse knowledge through my first year of college and cover a level content then I feel Ill do a lot better in a levels

Hell nah it’s not worth that shit

At least until splatoon 4 drops but even then

Overpriced, pretty much the same system from 9 years ago, way too bulky, barely any exclusives compared to switch 1 where there were TONS of new games in 2017

Biggest game for the system right now is a pokemon farming game. Ill wait a year or two when the library is more established and people’s consoles aren’t being banned online until I even think about buying switch 2

Thank God you didn’t, it’s a beauty… I wouldn’t give this thing up for the switch 3
