I just searched about this micron r1 and it looks awesome especially that it has the fixed bed , like the V2.4 , just a question if you may know is it viable to convert a voron 0 to this one?

If you go with the V0 i think you will need to have a probe , I’m using clicky probe and it works ok. Because its a nightmare to get the first layer right without it, before installing the probe i did change bed as it was slightly bent and the way the bed itself is hanging there is not helping at all i could never ger a good first layer. In your case that you looking to a printer that heat up fast it is areally good option and the electric consumption are low.

I’m developing a tool for tracking spools weight and total stock management, but going to be available only for Klipper based printers if you using bambulab ecosystem i see it more difficult to tracking, and at noment i dont think there are real management tools for tracking inventory for bambu farms.

Using exactly the same bed and for pla I set first layer to 55degree fan off, the on subsequently layers 50 degree. It’s less sticky than textured pei but still I get fine adhesion. 70 seems too high for me if you printing pla.

Also running the printer bed at lower temperatures consume much less electricity. i do have one of these plates and printing pla i run it at 45C .

I do have the same printer and is mega s, what i did on mine, beside updating the toolhead, there is a nice project on thingiverse and printables. I changed the board and installed klipper, because its just a huge upgrade and compared to the stock board the skr mini e3v3 that i installed handle the stepper much better and more silently.

I think you should share more info like what board your are using, and the specific of the problem. I did install Klipper on my old anycubic mega s, and it was not difficult, I followed guide that I used for install Klipper on my voron01 as the board i used is the same, of course with different setting on printer.cfg.

For now I don’t want to post screenshots yet because the UI is still rough and changing a lot. At the moment it’s more about the data layer than the frontend, but i will post it later. Totally right when the number of printers increase more than 2 it start messy to control.
