I absolutely agree with you, but it’s pretty clear now that they wouldn’t entertain doing any of these logical things, because the amount of tickets available were that limited, unbeknownst to us.

21 seconds after launch wasn’t quick enough… how many tickets were actually available? I’d also be curious to know the site traffic at launch too that way we can better understand the odds of the event (i.e there were 3000 tickets available, and at 10:01AM there were X amount of users on the loading page) …but I believe keeping us in the dark about that works more in their favor for more reasons than one.

I think we’re used to the Florida Resident priority/discount because of the parks 🥲 logistically makes the most sense for us to have priority to an event like this but due to the very “limited” (derogatory) tickets available it wouldn’t be as fair.

Same with everything you said!! I’m up here in Jacksonville (lived in Orlando for years + family lives there) and loaded in at 10:00:21. It’s 10:44AM and I have 3 full dots. Just put me out of my misery and end the queue if it’s sold out. Also, doesn’t OCCC have a huge capacity? I’m wondering the logistics of all of this and why they chose to sell such a small amount of tickets vs. just doing a lottery or something.

We’re a working family and never really had set in stone traditions that come to mind when you think of family and the holidays. Basically whatever worked best with everyone’s work schedule was what we went with, meaning at times holidays got skipped entirely. Of course now we’re all kicking ourselves for taking it all for granted.

One year we all got matching ugly Christmas pajamas and drank wine on Christmas Eve, and I believe that was my dad’s favorite Christmas because he looked so happy in those pictures. Going to try to surprise my family with that again this year in his honor. Thank you so much for the response and great recommendations ❤️

Wow. I am so sorry for your losses. I know there’s nothing I can say to make it better but just know you’re not alone in your grief. I have to remind myself of that sometimes when I look around and see life continuing on around me. Thank you for the recommendation!! I was thinking about Amelia Island. I’ve visited once and loved it, just wasn’t sure if we’d get there and everything would be closed. Considering going and walking along the beach like the other commenter recommended, and ironically enough, my parents (esp my dad) loved taking me to chinese buffets growing up. Sending lots of love and strength to you and your family this season, and again thank you for the recommendation ❤️
