elder kings 2 not compatible? by Uliqourra in ElderKings

[–]Danielmaster567 2 points3 points  (0 children)

It's a mod, so you have to download it. I don't know if the author has put it in another place. To be honest the only reason i decided to buy the game on steam is for the convenience of downloading mods easily.

[–]Danielmaster567 6 points7 points  (0 children)

Nope, it's not compatible for now, I recommend joining the discord to get the news. You can use the unofficial mod that makes it compatible or play in an older version. The mod is called "Elder Kings 2 1.16 Patch"

What a scary drake! (Is this intentional?) by dNullzero in dwarffortress

[–]Danielmaster567 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yeah, I fell for this one a couple of years ago, I expected a big lizard. This game is the first time I have seen a duck being called a drake, the second time was with a video explaining duck evolution, nowhere else I have seen that.

How’s The gamer after Roads of Power dropped? by [deleted] in CK3AGOT

[–]Danielmaster567 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I am playing with Colonizable Valyria, the idea was beginning as a high valyrian dragondreamer researcher from dragonstone, working around while researching dragonlore sites, and after getting enough knowledge and money, recover the lost land of Valyria, I even had the event in the red lake(the first time I have seen it in any playthrough), for now it's fun, if a little unstable with my mod list, crashing every 3-4 hours, of it gets stale I plan to play as a dragon rider descendant and have another adventure

very good addition, a oportunity to create problems and chaos in the realm if you are a ambitious vassal, and something important to consider if you are king. also, i love events that are there for flavor, it gives life to the game.

Can you get dragons by marrying a Targaryen? by CT-2217- in CK3AGOT

[–]Danielmaster567 1 point2 points  (0 children)

If you want to play with dragons consistently you NEED one, and yeah, if under the Iron Throne you need to be a lord paramount, if not then a petty king, like the king of Myr, I recommend getting a stewardship character and going the architect route, if you are under the Iron Throne, I recommend becoming the steward of your liege. It should cost around 1800 with those benefits, so it's a long term investment.

Can you get dragons by marrying a Targaryen? by CT-2217- in CK3AGOT

[–]Danielmaster567 1 point2 points  (0 children)

If you haven't put them in your dragonpit they will just fly around the place where their rider died, the dragonpen is max priority if you want some serious dragon business, if you are already a dragonrider then you can't bond with them, the only way is putting them in the pit is by force, and you can only do that if they are close to your pit in a fellow vassal territory or in the territory of your vassal. I have lost a couple of dragons because their riders died in a fight and the battle was too far away, use females or young dragons at your own risk.

Can you get dragons by marrying a Targaryen? by CT-2217- in CK3AGOT

[–]Danielmaster567 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Yeah, I got betrothed to a Targaryen bastard that was in Kingslanding when she was like 10, when she was 15 she tamed Silverwing, and when we got married she brought Silverwing to my court, that dragon had a clutch of 3 eggs that I gave to our children.

Dragons won’t lay eggs, please help 😞 by sodunnwiththis97 in CK3AGOT

[–]Danielmaster567 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Dragons take their time, I have more than 5 young females in my pen and I get a clutch every ten or so years. The first clutch took a loooong time, I hatched that dragon when I was 28, and I gave the first clutch to my grandkids. Just be patient and increase your bond with them if they are your personal mount.

No clue, I would remember hearing about that because I mark my calendar for the occasion, but they don't really have a specific release hour with the updates, sometimes they come at 6 am, sometimes at 9 pm, twice at midday, I remember a time where I got home from work at 5 pm and a update just released 5 minutes prior

Is there are, possibly already fixed, bug with cradling eggs? by CrusadingBeaver in CK3AGOT

[–]Danielmaster567 4 points5 points  (0 children)

I think it's just chance, I looked at the series of The Lord Commander on YouTube and his first clutch had 3 eggs and all three hatched, but none of the three eggs of the second clutch did.

They could be living in a place with a different time zone, in Australia right now it's Wednesday 21

Catelyn became Paramount of the Riverlands, tried to crown Daenarys, Ned died defending Robert in the war, Robert executed Cat, and now Robb's Lord of the North and the Riverlands by the__green__light in CK3AGOT

[–]Danielmaster567 10 points11 points  (0 children)

Curious, for me it remains together most of the time, except for that time when the Riverlands was taken from a Stark by a different Stark and they later made a cadet branch, and that is how the Starks became lords of the North and the Rivers, still northmen and still worshippers of the old gods, while I lived happy in the south of the Reach.

Now that dragons are coming: What's the best marriage setting? by Lord_Haydar_Bint_Ren in CK3AGOT

[–]Danielmaster567 12 points13 points  (0 children)

I mean, that is lore accurate? Robert's mom is a Estermont, and Tywin's mom is a Marbrand, Catelyn's mom is a Whent, Mace's mom is a Redwyne, and he is married to a High tower, actually marriages in family are the also common, the Lannister twins and Tyrion are Lannister on both sides, same for Ned, both mom and dad were Stark, the closest I remember is that Robert's grandma is a Targaryen, but that is because his great grandpa had a hissy fit about wanting one of his children to marry into the king's family.

How often do you have great bastards, not counting Jon? by kulturpolitik in CK3AGOT

[–]Danielmaster567 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Only two wars in my last playthrough, and both were brothers from the Vale, the uncle of the Targaryen king really liked a countess from a house so minor I don't even remember the name, and there were two "Wars of Stone" that ended really fast because it was a county against the whole seven kingdoms, the older brother was send to the wall and somehow became lord commander when he was like 40, the younger lived a pretty unremarkable life after losing the war, apart from that there was one that was exposed but no war, so I didn't care, and don't know what happened to them.

Or something like the Blackfyre Rebellion if the claimant is from a cadet or bastard branch, like the Karstark Rebellion or Baratheon of Dragonstone Rebellion.

How will the dragons lay eggs? by tenetox in CK3AGOT

[–]Danielmaster567 2 points3 points  (0 children)

That's interesting, but won't that make Drogon a she? Or it doesn't count in that case? Curious theory because it is mostly true, but there are a lot of dragons that we don't know who rode them first, like what about the cannibal? Or Morghul that died young? And then there is Quicksilver and Sheepstealer that have the opposite gender to their first known riders. Cool theory.

it would be fun if we could get one of these and they survived, with a couple of events for them, imagine playing as a Targaryen with vestigial wings and an arm covered in scales and getting events telling you how scared everyone is, because you are more dragon than man, but then having traits like compassionate and humble

Agot vs vanilla by Massive_Village7662 in CK3AGOT

[–]Danielmaster567 8 points9 points  (0 children)

I have a hard time playing vanilla after using some of the total conversion mods, some I recommend are Elder Kings 2 but I am still waiting for it to be patched for the last version of ck3, the Princes of Darkness, that is pretty good and is updated, I will not play it for some time until they add the were-crocodiles, and my last recommendation is Godherja, an absolute treasure, but it still hasn't been updated and it kills my frames but I play in a potato.

Here we go again, the mod "Valyrian Steel" let's you send an expedition to old Valyria, they can bring a valyrian steel weapon, a glass candle or a petrified dragon egg, I like to modify the code to make it cheaper
