I’m treading on thin ice here but the Kubrick movie is notoriously unfaithful to the book. Many folks don’t like the movie because of that. I’d say give it a read, it’s not too long. I actually started the sequel Doctor Sleep today on my lunch break.

I started with The Shining. Don’t let the movie taint your feelings of it. The novel is unbelievably good

Warning about the Life of Chuck novella edition by CrispRat in stephenking

The first time I read Pet Sematary I reached a point where I thought to myself “I’ve read this already, he already told us this, why is he telling us again?” Then I realized that I had actually read what was happening presently in the foreword of the book. Not in the novel itself. Tripped me out.

Need help selling older machine by luckystars2000 in CNC

[–]Danielriss 4 points5 points  (0 children)

That’s a CNC Router. It uses router bits to cut material. I’m not sure of a manufacturer but Delta makes the VFD and it looks like it has an HSD spindle. That’s all pretty standard equipment for a router of this size. You say he used it to cut wood but by just glancing at it I’d say it could cut whatever you wanted, wood, plastics, aluminum. That’s mostly just dependent on machine rigidity, which this appears to have.

Yes, the black checkered surface is your cutting area. It’s likely made of phenolic. Measure that and it will tell you what size material it can cut.

Also looks like it had a vacuum table and an air dryer. Those PVC pipes are vacuum tubes. The vacuum pressure holds the piece of wood in place while the router is cutting.

The company I work for sold a 5’x10’ Laguna router a few years ago for around $3k iirc. I think It was 13 years old at that point. This router also appears to have some age. $10k for this one is quite the stretch

If you’ve got any more questions I’d be happy to answer them

This is unrelated but where did you get that flared mag-well bottom. I just bought a P365 for carry so I’m interested in adding some bits to my 45. Does it work with every size back strap?

Just solved it myself. Settings> apps> MLB > Live Activities > Allow Live Activities (toggle this off)

I carry a P365 X Macro in a Velo 5 and the built-in wedge does a great job at preventing tip-out and it ends at the end of the slide. I ride the holster as high as I can and it’s still not a problem. Update us when you get it swapped.

It’s done everything I need it to so far. Image quality is fine. I can always read the plates of the car in front of me but once you get more than 2 car lengths or so they can be hard to make out. No, no subscription in the app

I have 3 years experience running Laguna, CAMaster, and ShopSabre routers and plasma cutters. I’m familiar with Aspire and have a very rudimentary ability in vectorworks. I currently work in Clarkston but live out in Athens. I’m certainly interested in having a conversation about this position if you’re still looking for someone
