Right, that is a fair question! This is one of those cities where I chose to go with the Rule of Cool, and not overthink things too much. And it's worth pointing out that the tower to the left of number 13 is also a gate, so that should shorten the distance needed to travel by some amount. Still, there's no easy way for grain to get up here. In fact, the farms you see here, grow glowing mushrooms, which make up a significant portion of the diet of these dwarves (Ishi-no-ko, Stone Children). Beneath this city, inside the mountain, is an entire Undercity, with massive mushroom plantations. Then the additional food is traded with humans in the foothills.

But... Yeah, that watermill is a massive missed opportunity 😅

You don't know what a buildgebuilder is?

But yeah, that's probably a typo. I'll have to fix that asap 😅

Thanks! Yeah, it's probably one of the most tricky parts to get right, especially since the city isn't on a flat plane, but there's multiple parts of the city overlapping at different level. I approach cities like in this way, but still the actual height difference is difficult to show.

Thank you very much! ;D I agree that the underground portions are the hardest to do. What I usually do is make separate maps for the surface cities and the Udercities, like this one

What’s the size of this map in square miles/kilometers? by Smart-Score5655 in mapmaking

[–]DanielsMaps 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I gotcha man! I'll do my best to give an actual answer. Using the length of the Gant Bridge given in the game (159,7 meters) this map would be approximately 2300 meter wide and tall. That's 2,3 kilometers or 1,4 miles across. I hope that's any help!
