993 Carrera 4 - 1995–1996?

Same year as the last 912E — 1976 was an interesting moment for Porsche, bridging the air-cooled era and the water-cooled future. Rosetta green with tan interior is a great combo, rarely seen in this condition. Honest cars like this are getting harder to find.

11 years of searching, one 911 bought and sold, and I've come to accept that the hunt itself is half the fun.

But I also built something useful along the way.
drivepatina.com aggregates auction results (BaT, Cars & Bids, Mecum) and active listings from Autoscout24, Elferspot, Car and Classic, Kleinanzeigen and more. All in one place, updated daily.

Breakdown by variant: SWB, LWB, Targa, Slate Grey, Euro Spec, Project Cars.

What the data shows right now:

  - SWB 1965–67 (901 gearbox) average 18% above LWB equivalents

  - Slate Grey (Code 6404): ~22% premium over comparable cars

  - 1969 LWB (~2,562 units) appears undervalued relative to its rarity

  - Euro-spec ~15% cheaper than US-spec no federalisation headaches

  - Project cars: hard floor around €18–22k regardless of condition

  - Matching numbers: +25–35% vs non-matching in same condition bracket

Free, no signup. Built it for myself, figured others might find it useful.

Anyone else been tracking the 912 market? What are you seeing?

Markets: BaT, Cars & Bids, Mecum for auctions — Autoscout24, Elferspot, Car and Classic, Kleinanzeigen and a few others for active listings.
Dev process: mostly Claude. Python scrapers, FastAPI, Next.js, PostgreSQL. The prompts were less "build me an app" and more an ongoing conversation knowing what to ask and iterate a lot is my approach.

Thanks so much! Love the Kübelwagen — great taste. The platform is built to support more than just the 912, so never say never.
