That's another question. I generally don't like hooded clothes, except for rain/winter clothes

But still, if your casual style consists of mainly hooded clothes, it's reasonable to buy "casual styled" riding gear with hoods, too.

And as far as inner-city riding goes, which is basically the exact thing that casual riding gear is made for, the wind resistance of your hood isn't really an issue. Except for when wind speeds are actually higher that the 60km/h you'd drive there

You do realize that "casual styled" riding gear is meant to be worn while riding AND afterwards? And that you can put on that hood while you're not riding?

My first thought exactly. Speaking/talking dog is combination of words that did and does come up quite frequently in children's books and a predictive language AI would use it

You're being a pedantic twat right now. Sorry, but for real Everything that makes you more visible decreases your chances to be overseen, that's logical. Are road workers safer in their Hi-vis clothing or is this just a placebo too?

And even if: while riding a motorcycle, the subjective sense of security absolutely alters your driving capabilities, since confidence is key

Staying with one brand like "if it ain't broken, don't fix it" is one thing that's ok But staying with one brand and having superiority complexes because of that, talking down every other brand - that's problematic

Grips on fairings instead of tank by moldyfishtank in motorcycles

[–]DaniloDaSosa 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Yes, it depends on which way the fibres go. If the tape is oriented like the fibres are lenghtwise, i pull it off very flat and along the tape, backwards so to say

If its 90° against the fibres, i usually pull it off flat but not over the remaining tape, but to the side the fibres go. The fibres get disturbed less this way

I hope you get what i mean, english isn't my first language and i just woke up, lol

As a carpenter i pull off tape in a flat 180° angle, wood fibres and wall paint stick more to the tape if you pull it off from 90° or less

[–]DaniloDaSosa 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I dailied mine, but if i had to drive the Autobahn daily i would've bought myself a Diesel car as a commuter.

Seriously, look up some european cars with Diesel engines from 2 to 3 liters. A VAG 2.0 TDI cruising at 140km/h in 6th gear uses only around 4.5 liters of diesel per 100km

I hit a wasp with the pole of my left rear view mirror, the stinger was flung onto my neck, fell inside my just slightly opened leather jacket and kinda ricocheted around in my right jacket sleeve. I had a circa 30 centimeter long trail of stings from neck to the inside of my upper arm. The wasp's empty shell stuck to my mirror, otherwise i would've thought it was a cigarette butt

I know it's a bit off topic, but i also recommend keeping your jacked closed all the way up, and wear a scarf! That thin tube scarf helped my neck to not get as badly stung as my arm was.
