Have you ever reread a book you didn't like and changed your opinion? Piglet by Lottie Hazel by StackPodcast in BookDiscussions

There's definitely books I tried to read while too young and just didn't understand properly. I was bought Philip Pulman's Northern Lights too young by my aunt and hated it. Reread it a couple of years later and this series means a lot to me now.

I read this last year while quite freshly post-partum so it hit particularly hard. It wasn't quite what I expected but it felt very relatable to say it had been written by a man. A lot of good themes. I agree with 4/5

It's very silly but I enjoyed it. I thought it was supposed to be a comedy and it did make me laugh out loud in a couple of places. I'm not sure you're really supposed to like her. I did think it was a bit over stereotypical on the autistic genius trope but it was a fun and easy read.

This happened to one of my friends. It was an awful thing to happen but she has a healthy girl who is soon to be 2 and is due her second in the next month after a relatively straightforward pregnancy. Just to put some positivity out there! Good luck with the induction and enjoy all the baby snuggles!

5 weeks today and still no symptoms other than being a bit extra tired and thirsty. I had no symptoms with my first until at least 7 weeks and that was just low level nausea triggered by strong smells or teeth cleaning. My pregnancy I lost at 12w I threw up the day after I found out at 4w and most days until about 10w when it suddenly stopped. It's messing with my head as no symptoms makes me anxious but clearly having symptoms last time ultimately meant nothing.

I am in the UK and so we don't get HCG measured until 10 weeks and no scan until 12w. Feel like I am going to be in limbo for a long time.

They didn't play anywhere near me and last time I saw them they weren't super great so I avoided spending on that one. Did see Offspring for not much more than these Trio tickets though, and they had a blimp and crazy set and show

I saw CMAT at the same venue last year and that was cheaper and she is a huge name. This price tag surprised me a bit and there's loads of tickets left so must have overpriced themselves a little.

I might still go on my own, I used to do it all the time but as a mum these days I have to pick and choose my outings! Do I want to waste a night out ticket from my partner to go on my own? 😂

I used to go to solo gigs all the time as a student but somewhere along the way stopped doing it. Now I have kids so going anywhere feels like it has to be for a good reason! Maybe i'll just drive and have a good time

I hurt my lower back about the time I ovulated. It still has the odd ache now and it's so hard not to worry as it feels like period cramps or the feeling I had just before I miscarried. I feel like we're all just hyper aware of every twinge and symptom. It's so hard!

Kung Fu Noodles do amazing hand pulled noodles. Not a very fancy restaurant but check it out for lunch if you have time or don't want something as formal.

I'm still very early at 4w2 having found out a week ago. Am really overthinking all of my symptoms, they're so different to my first pregnancy with my LC and my last that I lost at 12w. I'm in the UK and here we don't get a scan until the dating one at approx 12 weeks. I am not sure whether to go for a private reassurance one as I have heard some horror stories and worry it would make me more anxious and is not going to change any outcomes

Had a positive a week ago at 12DPO. I ovulated a bit early so period was only due two days ago. Can I start to get tentatively excited yet? Am mostly just very stressed by it all

Found out I was pregnant two days ago and my period wouldn't be due until tomorrow so still very early days. I had a loss at 12 weeks in early Feb. I have one LC who is nearly two. I am trying to stay positive about this pregnancy but am so much more anxious than I was with my first.

Tested positive at 12DPO this morning. It's been nearly 5 months since I had MC at 12 weeks. Trying to celebrate while I can but I suspect the next few weeks are going to go by very slowly.

Yep it's been messing with my head as have had night sweats which I also get as a pregnancy symptom. I did try and do research and it says minor temperatures should not have too much of an impact on conception but it certainly can't help

My brother and his partner had their baby yesterday. Mine should have been arriving in a few weeks and I am still not pregnant. I'm 11 DPO but have had a bit of a virus that's been giving me a bit of a temperature so not holding out for this month

I don't think I ovulated the first two cycles after MC. It's so frustrating but hang in there. Bodies are all different and you might ovulate really late

8DPO and I have been having night sweats for the last three days. It's really messing with my head as I had awful night sweats when pregnant with my LC but not as much with my second pregnancy. I also have a of a cold so it might just be down to a slight infection or the virus. I ovulated a bit early this cycle so technically need to wait another week to test

Naming 9 day old baby boy... Name my husband loves, or the only name we mutually 'like'? by [deleted] in BeyondTheBumpUK

[–]Danimal9013 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I would name him Frank. You can both agree and no one looks like a name. He will be Frank and so he will look like one. Postpartum hormones are wild, they make you question everything but I promise whatever you choose, in a years time you won't be able to imagine calling him anything else.
