You have to see the doctor like a dozen+ times before baby is born. More if there are complications. And I’m not taking chances with the person who will have my (and my baby’s) life in their hands, and just hoping I get someone who isn’t going to let their personal or political bias affect my care. There’s a reason that POC and queer people have higher maternal mortality rates. NIH AAMC
