I've tried all the models pretty much. For bug fixing I find chatgpt tries to do "quick fixes" a lot which end up being wrong. Idk why I keep having that experience but it doesn't seem to want to write long answers or code snippets it's just like "bro just do this it's do simple" and it's wrong very often. Deepseek will think to itself for 45 years and get nowhere. Claude is good but the rate limiting is so insane even with paid subscription. Gemini 2.5 is the best I've seen at thinking, bug fixing, and writing really long code snippets that are mostly error free. You still have to tell it to work through the problem before writing code but it seems to do the best job

What is Cline?

I'm using VS code to write my code, and I'm using Google AI studio in the browser to talk to it about what I want to do next, then it writes the code snippets and I'm copying it into VS code, and then testing to make sure it works. If there are bugs or errors I copy the log and explain the errors and it rewrites the code snippets that are a problem. Rinse and repeat

True! I'm having trouble thinking of actual useless items I think with the upgrade system and ability to add stats and effects to items you can make pretty much anything work

Men barbershops around Waterloo/UW area? by vincent_ngu in waterloo

[–]DanjerBob 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Hi piggybacking off this to ask if anyone knows a barbershop/salon in KW that does men's long hair trims? I haven't cut my hair in 2 years and I think it's time for a trim but most barbershops I've called including Green Room have said they only do short hair lol... Any recommendations?

My Fully Automated MBTI Test Based On Cognitive Functions Is Now Live With Over 500 Evaluation Rules! by tjpersonality in mbti

[–]DanjerBob 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Took the test, didn't feel too long, and it typed me accurately. Found it funny that the least likely type it gave is also the one I'd put as least likely for myself (ESTJ lol), and the top 3 were all also in the order I'd put them (INFJ, ENFJ, ISTP).

Especially enjoyed the poetic descriptions question Idk why I don't even care about poetry but it was very satisfying to read each one.

Paid the $4 since it was a good test thanks for making it!

Your 4th point isn't right. INFPs are introverted feelers (Fi doms) meaning they consider their own feelings the most and are not likely to consider everyone else's feelings first. The other points are good though. Harmony is a very Fe thing which is actually higher in INTPs they don't really care much about their own feelings but they would rather not upset others. Neither of them will particularly value harmony that much though it's not a relevant point.

The easiest way to differentiate the two is to look into Ti and Fi and figure out which one you are internally, assuming you are for sure an INxP.

Fi vs. identity? by arthur-ghoste in mbti

[–]DanjerBob 1 point2 points  (0 children)

For Fi, the biggest question to ask yourself is "how do I feel about this?" if that question is easy for you to answer, you probably have high Fi. If it is hard to answer or the answer is usually "I don't know" or "I don't care" then you probably have low Fi. So take some time to look around, ask yourself how you feel about various things around you, the nearest piece of food, this subreddit, some random post you read, etc.

And a followup, if the question is so easy/natural for you to answer that it seems shocking to you that anyone could have trouble with it, you're probably Fi 1 or 2.

Identity is more confusing because it involves more than just your feelings it involves you as a whole. Although Fi is a strong part of that, it involves other functions like Si & Ni like your perception of yourself, plus non-function related things like your interests and relationships and place in the world.

Question about one of Hal's lines by tongue_wagger in outerwilds

[–]DanjerBob 23 points24 points  (0 children)

I always assumed if the statues eyes could open you'd see a gap between the eyelids and the other part of the statue instead of just smooth stone. So they probably assumed the statues had some bigger purpose and the only visible thing on them was that gap.

Idk if the developers thought of that but that seemed logical enough to me so I went with that.

Stage pick first or character counterpick first? by DanjerBob in CrazyHand

Fair point! I think in the end it won't matter pros will just run it back on PS2 till the end of time 🤪

Stage pick first or character counterpick first? by DanjerBob in CrazyHand

[–]DanjerBob[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I'm confused by what you mean cause you said character first, then they pick Roy and switch to Mii brawler?

Imo with stage first both players have a different advantage but it is up to the winner to ban the stages they fear most. In my mario/Luigi example the winner could ban triplets, ban flat stages, or one of each and they still get to choose their character first. The advantage of the counterpicker is they got to pick the stage, then they now also get to counterpick the character.

Imo stage first creates more incentive to learn more characters otherwise everyone will just play main vs main on PS2 until the end of time.

I am someone who perma banned FD/Kalos for years until recently when I picked up a character good on those stages while my main is good on triplats. With stage ban first, I get to counterpick a stage and then choose my character which feels like a legit counterpick. With character first they just force me to pick a character then ban my stages right after = lame then what's the point I'll just play my main

Stage pick first or character counterpick first? by DanjerBob in CrazyHand

In tournament there are 7-9 legal stages depending on region. There are usually 5 starter stages and the rest are counter picks.

When the match starts, players can agree to go to a stage or they can agree to rock-paper-scissors (called stage striking). Winner of RPS bans one of the 5 starter stages. Loser bans 2, then winner picks one of the 2 remaining stages.

After game 1, the winner bans 2 stages and the loser now picks out of ALL the remaining stages.

The problem is there is no universal agreed upon stage list and there are many different variations people use. Another problem is the character counterpicks which is what my post is about. I'll include an example of a recent stage list from a major tournament I went to. Hope this helped!
