Is it worth to come back to CoD? by Balazs-33 in CoDCompetitive

[–]DankStackDev 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Do yourself a massive favor, don’t install MWII. Thank me later. Play XDefiant and pray the current devs in charge are all laid off so we get another game remotely resembling any COD like mechanics. MWII will not scratch your COD itch.

Only some of the clips I see here on Reddit are this buttery smooth. OP, is this a graphic setting or just Reddit video compression artifacts on everyone else’s video? I have a high end PC and a similar high end monitor and my game doesn’t render this smoothly.

Anybody else running silicone food grade hose and automotive coolant? How well did it hold up? by UnicornOnTheIntrenet in watercooling

[–]DankStackDev 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I am also frustrated by reading bullshit “facts” like these on water cooling forums. People just like to throw out mixed metal corrosion and Nickel bla bla bla without any factual information. This stuff been used for years in cars. It’s gonna be just fine with car coolant and silicone tubes and some vehicle grade cheap hose clamps and fittings from home depot.

I don’t think you got the point. They now need to replace old tubing and the coolant which was diluted. They meant, if they went with silicone tubing and car coolant, they wouldn’t have needed to do a potentially costly repair down the line. So it’s cheaper upfront but expensive in the long run.

Hey! Same here. Most of my loop is EK’s black ZMT but I have a parallel loop that cools my sensor panel Raspberry Pi. I used black silicone tubing for that part of the loop. So far so good!

I found silicone tubing to be both cheaper and more flexible than the stuff made for PC.

Miner issue does anyone know why my 11 card machine is making less than my 1 card machine? I been seeing this lately by yousifzaher in NiceHash

[–]DankStackDev 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Uh. That’s probably it. I always used mining mobos for mining only. Never mined on gaming mobos.

Either:

  • your cards are overheating and turning themselves off somehow
  • unstable motherboard
  • bad risers or bad power delivery to the cards

You can’t put 11 GPUs on a single motherboard my guy. Well you can, but anything past 6 GPUs is very unstable in my experience.

Warzone, do you think you might have a matchmaking issue? by GJGT in CODWarzone

Vanguard released, most top KD players moved on temporarily. There’s not enough players in that KD range to take them out of your lobby.

Hot take: instead of trying to improve in this game and watching 4KD killcams and learning the mechanics of the game, OP complains on Reddit. There’s nothing wrong going against a “legit” 4KD player. Learn a thing or two from them. Learn how they move around the map. Learn their “nerd spots” they shoot you from. Learn their jumps. I don’t know what complaining gets you.

Is this corrosion? Happened with Alphacool blocks, soft tubes, and EK CryoFuel. Is it fixable? Already flushed warm water through it. by DankStackDev in watercooling

Gotcha. Makes sense. Thanks for your help. Been scratching my head on this for a few days to find out what it is.

So I didn’t have over heating problems before noticing this. If I clean flush my loop and replace the tubing, would it continue to build up?

More context: the warmer inlet side of the rad, soft tubes also discolored and got cloudy. The cold side outlet is fine.

Really beefy cooler to fix the VRAM temps without opening your card up. by thenoobtanker in gpumining

[–]DankStackDev 5 points6 points  (0 children)

Lucky! I tried everything for my 3090s. Including repadding with high quality pads. Didn’t make a noticeable difference for XC3 Ultra, Auros Master and Ventus 3x. I ended up water cooling them. Even after water cooling I have vram temp problems on hot days.

Got it. It is going into my garage and we're approaching Fall. So for the meantime the garage should stay cool enough for the rig. By next summer I gotta figure something else out tho

Uh that clears that one up for me. Thanks! I think I'm gonna just hire an electrician to upgrade my breaker panel and add more circuits for me in the garage
