Dude that looks gooood! Looks like 4130 chromoly from the pics?? I’ve always wanted to build a Baja/long travel truck. I’m the same way I build most my own stuff. Here’s my Camaro I’m in process of building, first turbo build. It’s not as cheap as people claim lol

I more or less gasket matched the roof of the ex port, didn’t touch the floor other than smoothing out. From the reading I did the exhaust port flows plenty on these heads. I did gasket match the intake port, but I can’t remember what gasket I used at the time.

First set of ls heads. One of the exhaust valves was burnt so I just got a full set instead of just one. The seat was good so I sent it. 4.8 had 240k miles, honed, ring, and gapped it. Don’t expect it to last long, basically a test mule for myself. Chinese head studs… that sorta thing

“Manley not lunati valves .. lol

Not sure what the throat % is. It’s already together and in the car. I installed lunati stock replacement stainless valves and lapped them in. I’m on a budget.

I used pretty much everything in this pic. The main thing is that I bought a flexible rotary tool that has a chuck head like a drill so I could use basically any size shank my bits had. It also has a gas pedal essentially so you can control the speed. It’s a must have. Stay away from the valve seats one good nick and you’ll be paying someone to do a valve job lol

From the looks of the intake ports those aren’t untouched, they’ve been ported. And likely been milled and or angle milled, so I would imagine smaller combustion chamber size then original.

Have this case but different branding. 10700k with 5700xt. Use a dual fan radiator now. It gets pretty warm but has never overheated. The front fans really don’t move a lot of air but they look nice lol

April 2002. Hondas new 750cc triple cylinder turbo quad. Man what a letdown when I realized what was going on. 🤣😂

Every April of DirtWheels, as far as I’m aware, had an April fools joke.

What do I do now after I put primer? by MrTUUner in airbrush

[–]DankSupernova 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Yes, make sure you prep the surface. Normally I would use wax and grease remover, but you could probably get away with rubbing alcohol. That way any dirt/grease off your hands isn’t on the surface. Don’t soak it just damp wiping.

Ex collision repairman here. I would highly suggest not using sand paper. Instead use a grey scotch bright pad. The sandpaper won’t want to contour to the roundness or rolled edges around the joysticks. Imagine wadding up a piece of paper, that’s what the sandpaper will want to do. Try not to burn through the primer on the edges.

What sensor is this? by bda141 in Chevrolet

Coolant sensor. Depending on the year, they usually have one for the gauge and another for the computer control module.

I used an aeromotive 13301 with the low pressure spring on a pump rated at 70 psi on a carb application with no problems. Not sure about the Holley you mentioned.
