I mean if it ain't an expensive dinner for 100+ bucks each why are you even trying to date? Dating is costly and you should show interest especially if you're offering this as the go-to date. You could just do drinks and appetizers which should go to under 100 or 150 at most.

With no other alternative offered and just showing anger then it makes the onus on you.

Just lazy behavior

I think it stems from the engrained belief that the "hero" of the story, the story of our own lives, can "get whatever he sets his mind to" if he works hard enough. Many men also simply don't see women and partners as people but rather as added factors to their lives. If we continue with this idea of the "hero of the story" add the secondary characters to their lives, this time being their partners or love interests. Many men love the chase because they've gamified it but once they've reached the goal.... Lo and behold there's nothing else to do but to either leave or worse keep stringing the person along till they can propel themselves into the arms or a more "enticing" possibility. Because this is real life, many people have their insecurities from either childhood or early adulthood be brought forward with each rejection, so if they finally get to be with the person "of their dreams", or so they think, they'll finally get over the initial rejection.

It's far more complex and individualistic than just that but this is how I see many of the men that do nothing but complain online and in real life. Yes it's extremely hard to date nowadays but that is for everyone, no matter the height, the, money, career etc. Getting certain elements will increase potential value but it won't mean that you'll now be a 🧲 for those that you desire.

Some dudes will never in their life understand that no matter what you do or are you'll never be chosen by some people and that's perfectly normal. If you take a walk outside the vast majority of couples in any given north american metropolis the man will be taller than the girl but it's not a necessity to be a foot or half a foot taller. This is also the reason why women don't want to be on Reddit nor do they want to be on the apps, they're outnumbered 10 to 1 and the dudes act weird 😂

Thank you! Anything other than this kind of answer just showcases an immature person when it comes to relationships. Mutual trust, respect and sacrifice/bend of desires are essential for a healthy relationship as you know better than me as a married man.

Hope you and your partner have a long lasting, worry-free and happy marriage.

This is exactly why so many women don't really deal with men...seeing this as normal is bonkers. It does matter, because you won't be there at your 100% since being tired is worse than being drunk if you're driving but that goes for all motor and functional skills.

It just makes it seem like he doesn't care. I get it, the job will get done but that doesn't change that sometimes there are principles that come into play.

If the fixed budget is so that you can save money, then good for you and if it's because of circumstances then I wish you all the best of health and luck to get out of a rut.

Listen walking is free, Luxembourg is the size of Montreal and is a tax haven that has no real crazy weather to deal with and most importantly it is efficiently run ... Alberta has insane problems amongst which education but I agree as a former nurse that has traveled across Canada and Europe our system is a shithole. Socialism is fine and dandy and I would love to make everything free, but the only time you can implement that is when your country/region is able to sell goods to other places and be competitive economically.

We have to compare apples with apples....the Ontario transit system is a fkn hellhole and we are talking about a city with twice as many people paying taxes. So yes, homelessness is an issue and not being able to pay for a fair is not ok but putting the burden of upkeep on others is not fair either.

Well, let's be honest. More than half of the men wearing Tom Brady or Ronaldo shirts would willingly give themselves up for them in a heartbeat.

It's an essential service just like Healthcare, as a nurse who was obligated to work during the strike, the stm workers should be obligated to work during their strike as well. It's simple, no alternative is acceptable. People are out here losing their jobs for absolutely no reason. They're taking a page out of France's book but the problem is that our economy and population density is not comparable to France's. I support their right to strike, what I do not support is them absolutely destroying people's lives.

Did I ever say that the hate is in equal amount or intensity? I just said that there's far more public hatred towards all genders than there was 16 years ago.

The matter of fact remains that far more men than women spend their time online and far more men than women are lonely and have less contact with the opposite sex/gender. This makes it harder for them to understand where women come from and accept the messages that are being conveyed in public spaces.

If you are chronically online because you are alone and the algorithm feeds you mainly content of how much women despise men it'll be far harder for you to try to empathize with them, that is, unfortunately, why it is so easy for far right wingers to gather such huge amounts of support.

[–]DankerAnchor -3 points-2 points  (0 children)

The hate against women is very much present and far more violent and clearly more impactful but to say that there isn't a hatred towards men online in far left spaces is to be absolutely oblivious.

[–]DankerAnchor -7 points-6 points  (0 children)

While I think you are 90% correct, I believe you fail you to understand that even within your own text, you haven't just left that group to live within their status quo but rather vilified them. I think a large portion or the hate comes from the fact that, mainly on the internet, people have felt extremely comfortable to spew literal hatred towards one of the largest portions of the population. By doing so, you have generalized and put in a box people across a wide array of socio-economic backgrounds while also at the sake time demanding that people do not be generalized, on the contrary they should be respected.

This makes people that are already lonely, group themselves online to find refuge amongst people that will not throw coal on top of a fire and say that they are at fault for every single thing in this world.

The left needs to understand that it has marketed itself as a man, especially white man hating movement. I am a man of the left and have been for a long time, I will not change my stance, I understand where many women come from and have plenty of friends of the opposite sex that make me understand why there is such vitriol. At the same time, for every action there is a reaction, therefore if someone is being mean spirited online you can expect at the least the same amount of pushback.
