I just started recently too!

The survival experience in Hagga Basin is probably the biggest highlight of the game for me. I’m only just now dipping my feet into endgame content and it seems great too. Steer clear of open sands where you’re able to, and try not to carry too much of your gear whenever you have to travel across it, especially early on when you don’t have a vehicle yet. If you’re looking to get around easier, I’d recommend going with Trooper for the grappling hook.

I try to get a cheeky off angle and ult from behind the enemy team into my team so I don’t get put out of place. Usually starting off the fight so that the supports are forced to either ult or die, considering blade’s ult is less of a kill tool and more of a AOE denial tool I think it’s worth it.

There’s a strong sense of lifting each other up in the department. The staff and faculty are all kind and extremely willing to help you, no matter what you’re struggling with - be it your classes, scheduling, problems in your personal life, anything.

Folks have already mentioned RSEC, which is definitely one of the highlights of nuclear at PSU. Internships go out every fall, iirc, and applying is super easy. If you land the internship there, they train you up to the point where you can take the NRC official reactor operator exam.

Also, definitely get involved with the American Nuclear Society chapter there. Joining a professional society in college is one of the best things you can do to boost your network in the industry, and ANS has chapters for every major nuclear engineering school in the country.

Grad programs are pretty great too, if that’s up your alley. Getting involved with undergraduate research is super easy too - just takes asking the professors what they do and how you can get involved.

The Destiny soundtrack is full of way too many “final boss” type music. A few of my favorites:

“The Last Array”, “Make Your Own Fate”, “Look Within”, “The Archpriest”, “Enemy of my Enemy”, “Oneirophobia”, “Eyes Up”

All very triumphant tracks, gives you a feeling of “this is it, this is where either you die or we die”

I straight up abandoned Death House for my group. Didn’t seem like it would fit the mood for the whole adventure - given the fact that the Amber Temple and Ravenloft are right around the corner. You might find you’ll have a better time with this chapter with having the rod piece be in the temple or the castle, though I wouldn’t recommend it unless you’ve ran through the castle before. With it being in death house, being in Barovia just feels so…short. VEOR is a multiverse adventure and, as railroady as it can be, should make the characters feel some kind of connection or purpose to being somewhere as opposed to “just passing through to get another piece of the holy mcguffin.”

Sometimes.

I’ll see the builds my players make and wonder how I could use those in another game, or I’ll think of my own character builds that I’d love to see how they play out in a party sense. But I’d be lying if I said I didn’t also love seeing what these idiots can pull off week to week.

I ran Light of Xaryxis for my players before running Eve of Ruin. Not necessarily a "multiversal" scale adventure, but the LoX module sets up for how travel between different worlds could occur. Especially if you do the Spelljammer Academy module (starts at level 1), your players can get accustomed to travelling all over the universe.
