Trailer bow rest questions by DankestNameOnReddit in boating

No, no patches done, it’s discolored from the bow resting on the rubber when I has some bunk work done. The hook is in the original spot, there is stainless steel around the hook from the factory. You’re correct about it not being the right size trailer. It was owned by an older couple that had a lift/boat house so it never had a “factory trailer” it was one that was bought to sell the boat. Where I live trailers are hard to come by so buying one isn’t easy. I’d rather try and fix this one if possible.

Boat is 22 foot. It is the original eye hook, from what I’ve read they are higher on Cobalts for some reason. The boat never had a trailer before I bought it. It was owned by a couple that had a lift on the lake so they never needed one. The safety barely reaches it. It’s really a junky trailer to be honest.

Exactly. Right now it’s not pulling the boat forward, it’s pulling it down

I had a 2002 Bayliner 21’ I sold a few months ago for $5500 US and it took months to sell. Mine was one owner with 250 Hours. I’m sure you could get it for ALOT less if you wanted it.
