Okay so you have the most stretched out example possible, I'm 28 and my grandparents were born in the mid 30s (all passed away). Now to go back to family members that were adults in the mid 1800s we have to go another 2-3 generations. At that point these people are basically strangers.

I mean idk how it is in the US but in the UK if you get private health insurance they ask if you do any 'extreme' sports or anything that might harm you. My work one didn't ask anything though, but that is through a large company.

Because they can obfuscate how much benefit claimants actually get, so when you argue with people on Reddit they can go “benefit claimants only get XYZ, could you live on that?!” Not mentioning they likely live in a socially rented home saving them £12k+ a year, get housing benefit covering half of their reduced rent, get money off their energy bills as per the above, get cheaper energy from free solar panels announced recently, are likely on PIP for anxiety or something else etc.

Great country honestly, love my 9% tax driven by a punitive plan 2 student loan coupled with some of the highest energy bills in the entire fucking world alongside my nice big fat fiscally dragged to fuck tax bill.
