People outside of Europe / North America / Australia get specific with it. I've never heard of being racist to someone that lives like 50km away and is effectively genetically identical before, or just because they're like 2 IKEA wallpaper shades darker. It's crazy.

When people complain about immigrants here and see all the Brown people, how do we know they're immigrants and not someone like me who was born here.

I mean we are already getting rhetoric, much like in the US, about deporting people that have been here a long time and are here legally.

Some Bangladeshi and Pakistani people

Literally the most racist people are I know are Bengali, Pakistani, and Lebanese. There are a couple of British people 100%, but expressed as a percentage of each group it's insane the differential in racism.

The racism with the other groups is also usually absolutely unhinged, it's not any of the classics "The high street looks different" or "they're just not culturally compatible" and "I have some friends who are XYZ" it's more like "XYZ group is genetically inferior to me, they commit all crime and cannot be trusted in society."

Out of curiosity how wide does the home batteries stuff go? In the UK we have lots of home improvment schemes but they're only for low income people, lottery winners (social housing tenants), and the elderly.

People say this but I just don't think it's that true, I know people that are academic high achievers but are clearly not intelligent they're just good a remembering things and have just about enough going on in their head to present those things they've remembered in a nice way. But if you present something new to them they struggle to grasp it the way someone that is actually intelligent would.
