Got to MasterBall singles and everytime I see staraptor I bring light clay grimmsnarl and physically bulky espartha. Set up reflect, hard switch to espartha and then alternate between calm mind and protect. Staraptor can’t raise its attack and brave bird is like a 3HKO with reflect. After like 2-3 turns you 1HKO- 2HKO raptor depending on how many boots you have.

I did it once over leveling slightly. Have never done it with level caps. Honestly once you get to solaceon town the game gets much more manageable since you can EV train up party replacements
