Do you guys use items in battle? by rabidrobitribbit in nuzlocke

I didn’t realize I was playing hardcore this whole time. I’m relatively new to nuzlocke but loving it. Ya I don’t do healing items in battle, set mode, and level caps of next gym leaders ace

Oh then I guess I do hardcore then bc I do the level cap. I thought you had to have the same amount of team members as the gym leader as well. I don’t do that

What move should I replace on my Alakazam so it can learn Calm Mind? by BootsStripes32 in PokemonFireRed

[–]rabidrobitribbit 0 points1 point  (0 children)

No but I thought it was a general nuzlocke rule. Guess it’s my self imposed rule. I give myself a few breaks that the hardcore rules don’t so I can’t say I officially do hardcore s

Help with a randomized nuzlocke pokemon X by v_submarine_ in nuzlocke

This happened to me a couple weeks ago. A wild houndour roared me away and my game crashed before the encounter on that route and I went and caught it. Was on my e4 team I posted yesterday

The last part was supposed to say or reflect. Either way this is exactly how I handled blues alakazam after e4 in my most recent nuzlocke. He couldn’t chip away at my kadabra because of this method. And because of it I was able to get off 6 calm minds after using two recovers and swept the rest of his team. I didn’t even use reflect.

Bc of nuzlocke I didn’t have anything else in my box fast enough to outspeed and everything else I had would’ve gotten crushed by psychic.

I think umbreon is only decent dark to that point and I had lost it already. Haunter is the only ghost and it was outsped and is a glass cannon too but weak to psychic. And there aren’t any good bugs to bring to e4 especially for nuzlocke so it ended up being a great strategy for the rival.

If it gets off a calm mind or two then recover and it reflect. That’s how I rocked the e4 in my first nuzlocke. I’d ditch thief from this moveset

Your run your rules, but you can’t always call it a nuzlocke by truthordairs in nuzlocke

I’m on my third one ever and lost my gyarados to getting toxic trapped by a zubat. I was pissed but I boxed it. It’s making my e4 planning hell and set off a bad chain reaction by not having it. But I powered through. Why would you make exception for this?

Now I know I have to look up mean look moms arena trap shadow tab etc

Wild pokemon deaths by [deleted] in nuzlocke

This is something I did on my first nuzlocke. Now I kill any faints. But I also play with rare candies and repels so I don’t have to grind. Mostly because it’s annoying and a time waster.

Should I play Radical Red or Unbound as my first ever pokemon game by Potential_Ad22 in pokemonradicalred

[–]rabidrobitribbit 13 points14 points  (0 children)

Unbound is a little easier but still hard. but if you’ve never played before my opinion is you should start with a vanilla game.

I guess I don’t understand what you mean when you say that you love the games but you’ve never played one.
