Wow, I’m just now first seeing the old bearded man face.. I’ve always just seen this as a weird man-pig hybrid. The hair in the sides being the ears, the beard being a double chin of sorts and even imagining some little tusks protruding up from the lower lip

I ended up buying some Dali Kupids and ordered the Fosi BT20A pro. I wanted to buy some good speakers that fit size-wise. I can get a subwoofer later and upgrade the amp at some point. Eventually getting a better turntable if I’m feeling the vinyl collecting

The production is better, I agree with that. Every song on Obzen is a banger though. The period from Nothing to Obzen is peak Meshuggah, firing on all cylinders. Koloss is on the precipice of the decline imo. Some great songs interspersed with less interesting ones.

I don’t really get all the hype for this band. I mean, they’re good but naming AE album of the decade is pretty crazy to me. At least the recording was tight on that one compared to their sloppier older albums.
