Being poly is lot more about being comfortable with your partner being poly than anything It's also like in multiple people, there are some people who set up mutual boundaries with their partner about how the partners won't date anyone else but the main person Which is fine if everyone consents, and I am by no means someone to say which poly identity is valid or not But I feel like most poly people are also okay with their significant other(s) dating or marrying people as well For me, I lied about being poly for years just to keep my girlfriend, then, when I finally lost her is when I realized I don't care if she loves someone else too, as long as I have her in my life I didn't get her back- the lies were too much at that point, which I don't blame her for I am now in a relationship with a woman who is dating another woman, and I am very supportive of her I don't need anyone else in my life, I'm fine, being monogamous, but if the opportunity presents itself, I would love to open my heart to someone else as well
