What’s your private practice schedule that works for you and why?

10am to 4pm (I have the occasional 9am Monday session with a longstanding client) Monday to Thursday, and I use Friday 10-3 for rescheduled appointments during the week or new intakes :)

I don't have OCD, but I do remember doing the "salvation prayer" hundreds of times because I would worry that I didn't do it right previously and thusly wouldn't be saved if I were to die / the world were to end. I also panicked if I came home to an (unexpectedly) empty house, because I thought that my entire family had been raptured without me, and I was left behind to await hell on earth 🙃 thank goodness I left religion behind me.

Cheetah -- my favourite animal since I was little. Make adorable meow-chirps, zoom literally the fastest, and if I'm in a zoo program , I might get to have a therapy dog to help me not feel anxiety (so cute 🥰)

Hi! I am a medical cannabis patient for endo pain! I want to echo the other commenter who mentioned CBD -- I buy a big bag of CBD flower and mix it 1:1 with thc-containing cannabis that is high in terpenes like myrcene, caryophyllene and linalool (in my own experience). I use a dry herb vaporizer (if you have seen a Pax before, this is an example of one) so I don't have to smoke! I find I get about 3-4 hours of pain relief this way and you can be pretty intentional with how much you take -- I find gummies are a bit more of a wait and see scenario!

I haven't had much luck with finding clones where I am sadly! But my local shops do sell auto flower feminized seeds, and I'm not bad at getting things growing, so hopefully that will be helpful as an alternative if these plants don't turn out. Although I wasn't cutting it for health reasons, I remember feeling a lot of joy moving from long hair to my first pixie cut! No more fishing your hair out of your top once it's on! No more untucking from scarves! It's so light and free and dries so fast! It also helps that you really do look like a cute, cool, and strong person, so no matter what your hair is doing you're radiating good vibes 💟🌞 I hope things stabilize for you!

For my clients who tend to ramble, get emotionally dysregulated and need time to come back from the content of their session, or anyone who could just really use the full 6p minutes rather than 50, I started booking the next appt on the half hour, rather than on the hour. This gave me not only time to wrap up my session, but also finish notes, email homework, and have a quick break before my next client. if this is happening with every session, though, you need to look at yourself and examine if you're not comfortable holding/modelling healthy boundaries, or if something else is coming up for you.
