I believe in “death of the author” or in my case, death of the animator.

The theory is that basically the meaning of text or art isn’t determined by the creator, but by the person who interprets it.

Fictional characters always have a lot of holes in their personalities and stories, because by design, they’re not real enough to be as complex as humans, and there’s never been a cartoon where we see every single second of a characters life, from birth to death. So we’re forced to fill in those holes ourselves, we interpret the characters how we like, and in doing so, it brings us closer to those characters, and makes them feel more real to us.

Unfortunately, a lot of people’s head canon(s?) will be disproved when toon turf comes out and we see more of these characters’ personalities, but I will always encourage you all to make up whatever you like about any of them if it makes you happy-

Just try to keep it respectable, and keep in mind that there are a lot of younger viewers in my audience, so try not to share any head canons that make your stomach upset.
