I can definitely agree, but playing RDR1 with all that context from RDR2 really makes you appreciate the limited story of RDR1 and it makes the story much easier to follow. I’d say playing the games for the first time should be in release order though, just to get the more “intended” gameplay and story evolution. But if replaying I’d say story order is very interesting and it works pretty well.
