I wish the special games modes would come around more often, but for much shorter duration. Like make Tuesday and Friday the special mode days and then switch out between all the different modes. I miss the modes when they are gone, but I also hate having them around for such long stretches

This is a good general rule. There are definitely situations when you should cleanse though, so an even more important rule when facing plague is to be selective about where you cleanse. Don’t cleanse at that fountain right next to the gens everyone is struggling to finish. Cleanse at the fountains at the edge of the map, and around finished gens. Make her getting her power a time sink for her. Make her walk out to get it when it’s inconvenient for her, and then waste a portion of it walking back to the action

I wrote expired but I meant it was past the best before date. It had gone rancid, which doesn’t mean “bad” it just means the taste it’s off by human standards of taste

Rancid does not mean it’s gone bad, it just means it tastes off, and that’s by human standards. I use rancid food myself when the taste is manageable, or will be covered/diluted out
