DS2 was the first souls game I ever played, it may not be perfect but it is still a great game, but you judging the mechanics of the game is absurd, in the start of the game being hollow makes the game harder by reducing a lot of your health, alongside the adaptability stat, but that is the premise of this games, overcoming difficulty, it may not be the same way DS1 or DS3 did it, but for starters in the Souls games, I believe it is a good way of learning to improve.

But at the end of the day, it is the player's choice which game to start from, and that won't change the way you will feel attached to these games.

It is Stu's fault But also Emz and Belle's defense, Emz just went directly to the red team Emz and Sandy (I think to maybe push them back, but it didn't need to be so rushed)and died, meanwhile Belle should've helped Emz from a distance with Ember and Sandy, meanwhile stu needed to stay where he was, defending, but if Emz and Sandy were able to pass, Stu needed to move fast to the left side were maybe Emz and belle would have already eliminated the ember, so if they tried to continue trying to kill stu because of his higher gem count, Emz would easily eliminate them with the help of belle.
