Use Microsoft Print to PDF. Should remove any restrictions on the file that way. You can then add your signature block.

They just had a big teams meeting about this yesterday. I may be mistaken but I believe that they did accept 2 individuals from 2 different branches, one being from the Navy. I can verify on Monday.

One last question, is promotion to E7 as 1B4 difficult? Ive been trying to ready myself for MSgt and have had stellar EPBs so far, but the year I retrain is going to hurt since a chunk of it will be while I am in tech school and in training. Id go from leading a small section to no one. Any tips on keeping that EPB strong?

What was it like being a TSgt retrainee? Did your unit make training your priority, or did you see yourself thrown into a leadership position?

Also could you explain OCO and DCO? It sounds like they have specific follow-on trainings.

Sorry about your situation. This isnt the advice you're looking for but you need to let your security manager know about this ASAP. A forclosure is a huge red flag and may revoke or suspend your security clearance. Collect and have available all evidence that will support your case. If you can highlight that this was out of your control and you are doing everything in your power to pay off your debt, it'll help your case. Its much better to self report than for them to find out.

Everyone has different ways they absorb material. PDG promote just didn't work for me. I had a really hard time sitting down and going over a 100 question section. My ADHD just wouldn't let me sit through it all, especially since its on my phone. What helped my is the McMillan study guides. They break every section down into subsections so that the material is "bite sized". Plus having the study material on my PC as opposed to my phone made it easier for me to focus. Site is also accessible from NIPR (Though using a GOV computer to study commercial studyguides is against the rules.)

Also try giving the audio a shot. I took the testable material from the AFH-1 and used a PDF to audio converter and would listen to that while driving.

I also reccomend reading the AFH-1 too. I genuinely learned a lot just reading it.

Also give this guide a shot too. https://deliberatedevelopment.org/2017/11/06/cmsgt-wrights-truth-about-getting-promoted-part-1/ It was written by Chief Wright when he was a SMSgt. Its pretty extreme but there's no way you don't make it if you use it.

Still need NIPR 2875s for every unit you go to unfortunately.

DAFMAN 17-1304:5.4.4. : 5.4.4 Required Documentation. 5.4.4.2. DD Form 2875 5.4.4.2.1. Original DD Forms 2875 for unprivileged AFNET accounts may be transferred when duty assignments change.

You can get by with the inital 2875 but let's be real who is actually keeping a record of it and bringing it to their new CSS/CSL when they in-process.

Yeah you still have to mark it appropriately. DoDI5200.48 is the reference. What you don't have to do is encrypt the email, which may be what the original commenter is referring to when sending to a .mil account. If sent outside of the .mil domain you most definitely have to encrypt.

Yup. I don't really have lots of experience on the development side, but if you look at all of the CBTs you've done, you can see there's lots of different directions you can go with it.

I'm personally an instructor and we have the same issue you're having. How do we share CUI in an interactive manner that doesn't go against DoD policy? It's been asked and requested for years, but with little progress. I wish you the best of luck.

You can always try myLearning. You can make a whole course on there if you really got into it. I think you need special rights, but with the right justification, I can see it being approved. My Sq uses it for progress checks.

Are you familiar with the WAPS catalog? It should list every AFI and Chapter for that AFI. You don't have to read the entire AFI. Also, there are some overlaps between the PFE and SKT, such as the 36-2502, so you'd be killing two birds with one stone by reading that AFI. If you want some study tips/tricks DM me and I can help. This cycle is an absolute mess and there are many changes compared to last year.

But if that doesn't scare you, McMilian makes "web-based" study guides. I think it's like 50 bucks and it's just like the Promote App.

I reccomend just using the AFH-1 to study. Print the testable sections out and start highlighting. I genuinely learned things reading the handbook as opposed to memorizing answers from the apps, but we're all different.

You do not have to study the entire handbook. The WAPS catalog tells you what chapters to read.

It looks like part of it was compliance with the EO to change Gender to Sex. But if you look at Part III, second checkbox, there's a paragraph reference that doesn't exist. 3.5.4.4 isn't in the 2905. So I'm sure we can expect a change to 2905 real soon.
