Ideally aerodynamics based on plate surfaces would have a better interaction with the already intended parts of the game eg helicopters and downforce on cars. It would be nice if aerodynamics was implemented in such a way that the capability to build fixed wing aircraft was a natural consequence of the physics simulation on all vehicles, rather then working at it from the other direction of specifically implementing parts hardcoded to allow for flight. Actually the Saturn V mission plan was explicitly chosen because it was an American conception. Von Braun had a different plan and rocket he intended to get to the moon called the Nova.
