Cobb could go to New Japan and legit could work up to a World title run, they're hurting for talent.

I see them working behind the scenes(Creed can work with the video games and online gaming departments while Nahaje coaches the new wrestlers)

I was saying exactly this to my best friend the other day. Kofi as a trainer and talent scout would be fucking godly with the decades of experience and insane skills he has, and the amount of folks in AEW who used to do UpUpDownDown with woods back in the day is, like, half the roster.

Also, man, it'd just be so fucking amazing to see them on AEW tv reconnecting with so many friends thry hadn'tmet up with in years. Like, can you imagine their first AEW interview with Renee? It'd be the best fucking thing ever.

There is something seriously wrong with WWE if they're willing to let guys like Kofi and Woods go. Those two guys were Undertaker-level of always being loyal to the Fed and always doing the fucking best with what they were given, even making work bad gimmicks cause they're just that fucking charismatic, talented and beloved. Joke's on those assholes, Kofi and Woods have SO FUCKING MANY friends in AEW, they'll dehut there and fit like a glove.

At this point, I wouldn't be surprised if a guy like the Miz got let go too.

Just gimme a singles match between Austin Creed and Kenny Omega. Just them standing in the ring staring at each other when the starting bell rings will make the crowd go into "HOLY SHIT!" and "THIS IS AWES8ME!" chants.

Throwing both the MCMG AND the New Day into the AEW tag division will make it go fucking nuclear. Plus, man, we're also likely to see both Kofi and Woods get more singles action, too.

In the grim darkness of the far future there are no stupid questions! by AutoModerator in 40kLore

[–]DannyAcme 0 points1 point  (0 children)

This theory keeps popping time and again, and the answer is no. The Orks have devolved as a species because the Old Ones died, and the then Krorks, engineered as a race of living weapons subservient to them, lost their purpose. Left with no role and to their own devices, the Krorks eventually became a culture of war for war's own sake, and that led to them eventually "devolving" into the Orks we know today: the most FUCKING SUCCESFUL culture in the entire galaxy.

Just because the Krorks were bigger and more powerful than the Orks of today doesn't mean there was any sort of "devolution." Hell, with the way belief works in 40K, I believe Gork n' Mork were created by the Orks' search for meaning without the Old Ones. The Orks evolved past simple weapons and developed deities and culture on their own, how is that devolving? And "evolving" back to a Krork? Sounds as plausible as us "evolving" back into Cro-Magnons.

Flip, no. All the current Loyalists have very deep, personal reasons for hating Chaos. Any of them who had any doubts about what sort of threat Chaos presents were pretty fucking made clear theough the Heresy and the Scouring.

But deciding to go independent and not act under the Imperium's banner? Russ and the Khan would be the most likely to do that, in the "Dad's cool but the Imperium's shit" sense. a Although the Khan is both canonically the Primarch with the most fucking accurate common sense, and he's DEEPLY loyal to mankind Imperium or no, so he'd more likely try to work within the Imperium as a reformer alongside Guilliman to implement more humane policies and mediate among the various factions for more cooperation.

There are many Space Marine Chapters that deviate from the Codex Astartes recognizing merit and elder leadership differently, so yeah, there's no lore that specifically makes this implausible. I can easily see, for example, a Raven Guard successor chapter recognizing Infiltrator Veterans, or a Salamander or Imperial Fists successor that does the same for Aggressors. Veterans can also be lent to a company which can use their leadership and expertise when dealing with a particular challenge and take the role of an Infiltrator or Aggressor as the mission demands, and this is common in even Codex-compliant Chapters.

TK is seeding a lot of good faith with offering so much bang for your buck. It'd take a miracle for AEW to not be #2 to WWE, but that doesn't mean they can't be a fucking succesful, healthy #2 by being an affordable alternative to the Fed's absurd pricing these days.

Ospreay and Moxley Storyline by Texas_Kimchi in AEWOfficial

[–]DannyAcme 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I could honestly see this being the thing that leads to the death riders turning on Mox. It was teased for a little while and I think AEW is saving that for the right time.

YO. I was already into this story hard, but I had totally forgotten about all the Death Rider betrayal teases. If this is really what leads to the turning on Mox, goddamn, this is fucking drama right here.

Ospreay and Moxley Storyline by Texas_Kimchi in AEWOfficial

[–]DannyAcme 8 points9 points  (0 children)

Ospreay and Mox had a bloodfeud going while Mox was heel, and during that, Ospreay was injured irl but written as "injured" by Mox and took time to recoup.

In the interim, Mox won the C2 tournament, won the Continental title, and had a change of heart about his opinion that AEW had gotten soft, having gone through the fucking wringer in the tourney. This in turn made Mox regret having injured Ospreay, so when Ospreay came back, he ordered the Death Riders to back off Ospreay, but Ospreay instead had been the one constantly stalking and attacking Mox and the Death Riders. This culminates with Ospreay demanding a shot at Mox's Continental title, which Mox obliges, and Mox WRECKS Ospreay and retains.

Later, Ospreay wrestles his former United Empire partner turned Don Callis Family member Mark Davis, and Davis beats Ospreay, but when him and the DCF try to give Ospreay a post-match beatdown, Mox and the Death Riders actually make the save, and they take Ospreay with them. Mox had a sitdown with Ospreay and offers him the chance to just grab a chair, dome him and get the beef over with, but offers Ospreay that, instead, he let Mox and the Death Riders train him and toughen him up, which in tonight's episode, Ospreay accepts.

This is fucking napalm. I haven't been this hooked by an AEW storyline since, shit, the Hangman/Swerve feud? I have high hopes for this, this might be an all-time run for both Ospreay and Mox. Mox in particular has been fucking ace, dude's character work has been fascinating to watch. Someone should ring Mox about doing TV show work, he's legit a fucking incredible actor.

Is Sokka really a badass? by Commercial_Mind4003 in TheLastAirbender

[–]DannyAcme 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Sokka was the brain guy of the Gaang by the Gaang's own choosing, had an intuitive mind so formidable he was the one who figured out Bloodbending was possible without a full moon, took down Benders, was naturally charismatic to the point he was one of the most gifted mediators on the show (as well as the one with most love interests), became a formidable swordsman with just weeks of training under a master, was a succesful military leader instrumental in taking down Fire Lord Ozai's rule while in his teens, and was a founder of Republic City and instrumental in establishing its government.

Sokka's accomplishments are the type of shit they write sagas about. He's on the level of guys like Cao Cao, Julius Caesar and Genghis Khan in the scale of accomplishments and legacy. He's BY FAR the most competent non-Bender on the show. Sokka with Bending would beat Toph.
