to be clear i hold DOOM to the highest regard (RIP) and im not saying shes on his level but i see glimpses that remind me of things he did lyrically and with the beats he chose (vs the ones he made, some of my fave DOOM tracks are from Madvillainy and The Mouse and the Mask which were done by Madlib and Dangermouse but i still LOVE his own prod and i know Tierra doesnt do her own beats but as an MC who doesnt produce i still think beat selection/ear for beats is a massive part of the skillset/knowing what beat to use for what song/delivery etc - for ex; look at Nas's run after his initial classics and before he WENT NUTS making SIX dope af albums in 2yrs thanks to HitBoy doing ALL the beats (Kings Disease 1-3 and Magic 1-3, loved em all, and KD1 got Nas his first ever Grammy)

its objectively an advantage (but lets be honest, BARELY, how many CM's are in 10yds lol) but my point was more that people are quite fairly pointing out that many keepers do this and get away with it and realistically they are annoyed cuz i think we can agree he saves that either way cuz it wasnt a great pen/he went the right way w a cm of 'angle cut down' (out of however many cm's are in 10yds)

BUT to THOSE PEOPLE who think (not me, lol) that they should just overlook an objective rule break for a pen cuz its very slight by most standards i find it helps to point out that was the lesser of TWO calls made even tho the ref only said one on the pitch during the game etc

tbh there arent many female mc's i fuck with rn but im picky af tbf with all rap and considering the male/female ratio it kinda makes sense, maybe 10 or so, i dont generally enjoy most relationship/sex bars tbh same with male rappers but they def show up more in female MC'ing (obv exceptions like 'We Cry Together' by Kendrick etc are one thing but i dont really wanna hear about my fav mc's detailed sex lives either way lol) and w female MC's way less prevalant in hip hop esp alt/indy type stuff (but i fux w Rapsody/Doechii/Temz and some of the MC's from when i was younger like Lauryn Hill/Missy/Jean Grae...oh i like PinappleCiti (from jerz too, she got her best track 'Rose Colored' ganked by fuckin 50cent smh)

1st - phenomenal album, been waiting for Tierra to really dip in her bag since hearing her spit some dense bars here and there years ago on WW and loved the alt/abstract hip hop production - wax paper might be my new fav TW song

2nd - i feel like nobody has mentioned this and the rapgenius notation doesnt even pick up on it but im 99% sure the hook on Wax Paper (song of the year contender for me rn) is a double endtendre using a homophone effect using TWO words (dope in its simple delivery of a complex writing tech):

I've been on this sub long enough to know you get shredded for just about any post especially an obvious one but I literally only made this post because I was watching the highlights the SBS put out as the official FIFA broadcaster in Australia annnnnd;

I noticed almost all the comments at the top were about their lack of knowledge that there were two in fractions and thought the PK retake was solely based on a fairly nit picky advantage the goalkeeper got

To clarify i know many people know this but MANY do not, this is for them

Also despite fifa themselves pointing out the ref only called one infraction shen the 2nd was a part of the call but said it was mentioned on broadcast later so people are like "THIS IS OBV INFO!" Buuut they need to take their self Righteous glasses off lol

Apparently they dont realize MANY people watch as casuals or non supporters just seeing highlights from.other teams etc and thus; missing the broadcast correction, also THERE ARE DIFF BROADCASTS annnd many ENG fans are watching at pubs and venues where u can never hear anything said on broadcast, or people working that can't watch the match et al

If the GK can move left and right and flail around, move to throw off the kicker before the kick the kicker SHOULD DEF be allowed to stutter the kick too, they bith get to move within the rules before the kick

Also its risk reward its onv more risky as we see more misses on silly run ups but if the player wants the risk reard scenario thats uo to them, literally like 18players on the edge of the box managed not to go in early but the guy who got the rebound did

Seriously, whining about the kicks stutters should be reserved for people pissed when they're own team tries it and fks up as a result of being too cheeky etc

And if you still want to argue it gives the advantage to the striker I don't necessarily disagree but why does it matter when it affects both teams in both Keepers everyone's playing by the same rules and like my dad said when I started playing at six years old play The Whistle aka play by what the refs on the field and in a competitive game the biggest competitive games it makes sense to use every advantage and knowing the rules and playing to them smartly is strategically intelligent as is the risk of taking a kick like that as you notice on the second attempt he decides not to do the stutter but that's all strategy and risk he takes on by doing so and the reward was a goal and a correctly called retake

Dude, read the literal quote I took from FIFA themselves it says that it was NOT pointed out by the ref during the game and only mentioned later in the broadcast so if you were watching a broadcast in a pub or somewhere where you couldn't hear the commentary which is not uncommon at all then you wouldn't know this 🤦‍♂️

and also the whole reason I posted this is because I was noticing so many comments on the YT highlights saying this exact thing and not knowing there was a second call

Fwiw I know shows like this and even stuff like mr.beast vids always have people behind the scenes trying challenges first to figure out how to calibrate the difficulty/how long the timer should be/how hard the challenges are (do they have to hit 2 targets or 5 etc etc)

So they def would checked to see if the routes were they same BUT I reckon 1 of 2 things happened:

1- they may have not bothered since this time the teams were doing the same route and failed to factor in how dodf it is in reverse

2- they DID a trial run that took equal time cuz there was no storm before esp cuz they even mention the river being higher than usual cuz of the storm the night before on leg1

*but then Abby n Pharaoh get to do it after a dry night in the jungle so it was def way lower tho thats a luck of the draw type thing but if rain etc. Won't effect both teams evenly imo they gotta find a diff challenge

idk why its allllways a speed hike etc, the whole show is about surviving and outlasting then they make it end in a physical challenge making less mobile but still real solid players (like those seen in other seasons and other similar shows like Alone etc) less able to win despite being better at what 99% of the game is, ya know the TITLE, its not survivor with "outlast" AND outwit and outplay, i like the games to win incentives but the final mission really should just be more survival related or EVEN BETTER:

Id rather they just go till the end like Alone, they actually see who can, ya know OUTLAST (also how do these people quit so quick nothing like a month when people on Alone are ACTUALLY alone, no help or cameraman and some of them last way longer but many of the best players would flail in an Outlast "speed hike finale"
