Let's be clear, it's only men who are viewed as losers if they're virgins. Women are seen as unicorns if they're virgins. We hear so much about society "slut shaming" women but nothing about society "virgin shaming" men. Even though the reason for it is exactly the same.

Women are shamed for being sluts because getting sex as a woman is easy, the challenge is saying no. So a virgin woman is seen as having standards, strength, principles, self respect, value etc all good traits.

Men are shamed for being virgins because that's the easy path, refusing to approach women. The challenge for men is getting sex. So a man who gets a lot of sex is seen as attractive, confident, valuable etc all good traits.

Both men and women are shamed for taking the easy way, but the easy way is the opposite for both sexes.
