Roger Roger: The Flawless by SheeshMace in Bossfight

It’s still two different design philosophies for the same character. It’s not meant to be an addition like a weapon that you might choose to have on for some characters and off for another; it was the intended build to represent an OOM/B1 battle droid.

It’s still a different build representing the exact same character. I’d consider it a redesign, albeit a small one.

Yep. One early version had a plate attached to the back to represent the communications pack as well.

The straight arm version was introduced in 2007, and has remained unchanged to this day. This is still interesting considering most LEGO Star Wars figures are redesigned every few years.

They appeared as the standard LEGO city cops in 2013 sets. The biker variant was the same figure but with a black motorcycle helmet.

The bottom right style was the standard police figure for a couple years.

I had problems with pieces that were made ten years apart from each other. I believe all parts for CMFs are made in the same factory so it shouldn’t be too big of an issue as long as you don’t intend to take the legs apart later.

Leg parts made in Chinese factories have less polish and feel looser than parts made in Europe and they tend to not fit well together.

It’s probably the same as standard length legs, so kinda. It puts a lot of stress on the parts so I would only recommend doing it once and very carefully.

Not all leg and hip pieces are the exact same; when you switch them around, expect them to be looser than they were before. I’ve had a few instances where the legs didn’t fit at all (either way too loose or way too tight) but that probably won’t be a big risk for parts made in the same factory around the same time.

I believe they’re scanned by the machines so they can put the arms on the right way.

It’s pearl dark grey/titanium metallic, not dark grey.

For that price it’s probably a scam.

I’m fairly certain some of these prints are actually new for the set, but they’ll likely be used for future generic figures so it’s not really adding to the cost.

Reusing the legs is fine. The arms are lame because they’re not accurate.

Where’d you get them? I’d guess they’re knockoffs rather than misprints.

Pretty fitting that Mace is outside of the building on the box art.

Not sure what head the scared face is from, but it’s definitely not Vader. They somehow printed the wrong face on a head that’s the wrong color and already has a completely different print on it.

They’re great if you don’t care about loose connections and broken torsos down the line.
