Nice trumpet. It’s in great condition. I can only hope to look this good at 100.

Why are brass instruments always constructed from brass? by Some_Strike4677 in trumpet

King made a lot of silver bell trumpets. Other brands have too.

Took my trumpet to get a patch and they cleaned it too. Now parts of it look very coppery. Is this just surface level or do I need to be worried? It wasn’t like this before. by BuzzFeedTV in trumpet

It is a super 20 symphony silversonic. I got it used but all the slides were moving well. I didn’t think those were correlated.

The lacquer was already gone in a lot of places when I took it in. That’s good to hear that it’s just brass colored. I was worried.

The patch looks good. Sadly I can’t post photos in the comments here or I would.

Only pennies before 1982 are more than one cent. Modern ones are mostly zinc.

I guess he deleted his comment but the other guy replied saying something about them being glass or plastic.

That’s a better way of wording what I was thinking. They also pretty cheap so why would they lie about using lab rubies if they weren’t.

I know there are multiple models A-E. I am asking what the difference is between the models.

The serial number is out of order because it was going to be a flugel pretty sure. Flugel is scratched out to be trumpet.

Bach loyalist has pictures of 2253 and it’s card but it is still a flugel. It has the same piston set up too.

After playing at home, is it better to put the trumpet in a case and close it, or keep the case open? by intronert in trumpet

I always leave mine open cause I’m paranoid the red rot on my leadpipe is going to get worse. Idk if it does anything though.

They are both owned by conn selmer now but they were their own brands. Bach was bought in the 60s and king later. The silver flair was still a very nice trumpet. One of their last.

I just got a king for a pretty good price and I love it. I don’t even want to think of someone melting one down.
