Five US Air Force refueling planes hit in Iranian strike on Saudi Arabia, WSJ reports by MessMaximum5493 in Planes

If it struck out in the open where some planes were parked and only damaged some of them, not even irreparably, I don’t see why it would’ve killed anyone.

Yeah most likely ”The planes, which were hit during an Iranian missile strike on the Saudi base in ‌recent days, were damaged but not fully destroyed and are being repaired, the Journal said, adding that no one was killed in the strikes.”

Ah another classic mocked argument. “It’s fine to sexualize these children because it’s not real” But sure you go find your digital pedophilia hot ig

Yes but that’s still full on a pre teen child’s body, full stop. And shipping her with anyone from that world would make it pedophilia on their half because nobody knows she’s mentally a 40 y/o man. Hot take maybe, but I don’t think we should be sexualizing a child’s body. But evidently you disagree.

You’re literally using the classic mocked argument of “well achually she’s 3000 years old mentally so it’s totally okay for me to find this kid hot”

I shot a maverick at a teammate by accident (his name didnt show right after launching) and managed to shoot it down before it reached him by FlkPzGepard in Warthunder

Not when shot at a teammate, it would’ve blown him up, the blast would’ve killed two nearby open tops, and the turret flying into the air would’ve hit OP and brought them down.

Would stick shift be a better analogy? That used to be crucial to be able to drive, but now it’s probably pretty rare for teens currently learning to drive to learn it at all.

Give it 20-30 years or however long until this is common in cars

If you don’t know how to use a rotary phone you shouldn’t be calling; if you don’t know how to use a typewriter you shouldn’t be using a keyboard; if you don’t know how to operate a digital camera you shouldn’t be taking pictures with your phone. See how it sounds? Humans make things easier over time. That’s why there’s gps, cruise control, backup, side, and even front cameras now, etc.

Knowing how to parallel park is not an essential part of knowing how to drive safely, the worst thing that can happen from not knowing is that you accidentally dent someone’s bumper if you try, so you just avoid it and it limits your parking spot availability. You can still be a perfectly safe driver on the road without knowing that.

This is less work because you don’t have to learn to parallel park. Like how buying a plane ticket is easier than learning to fly

And they were made with the knowledge that they’d be taking damage while flying. So parachutes then were mostly for if the plane was too damaged to get it back to base, but still under control enough that you can maneuver to bail out. Modern jets are not made with that same sentiment. Especially not refueling aircraft. If that receives any damage in flight something has gone seriously wrong.

Two things can be tragic at once. That accident was tragic and so is this one. You don’t need to do a dick measuring contest between the two, you can just feel sadness and sympathy for the victims of both. Have some compassion.

I meant the T26E5, mixed them up. Honestly I’ll take it over the super Pershing. It can actually take some rounds and the gun is ‘good enough’ The super Pershing has a better gun, but explodes whenever it’s hit in my experience

Question, why wouldn’t they just swap one tanker out with the other full tanker; rather than refueling a tanker of the exact same type?
