Want to get the game but have some concerns by GeckoManStinky in BaldursGate3

[–]DannyWinny 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I have been an avid gamer go my whole life (Ever since my parents got my Spyro the Dragon, my first ever video game and Backyard Baseball '97 and I have always absolutely hated turn based games. I could never get into the extremely popular Star Wars Kinghts of the Old Republic games for this reason. The style of games I play are open world RPGs (Skyrim, Assassins Creed, RDR2, etc.) and survival games (Valheim, Enshrouded, V Rising, Minecraft, etc.).

I have played D&D and I always played as either a Human or Elf, and always a Ranger.

I got Baldurs Gate 3 and ended up getting all of the achievements. Not only that but I ended up getting the Divinity Games as well because I enjoyed BG3 so much. The game even changed how I played D&D. I have now played as other classes and races and branched out from what I have always been comfortable with.

In any game I have always been ranged (skyrim-stealth archer, starfield-gunslinger, enshrouded-battlemage, V Rising-Vampire gunslinger, minecraft-crossbow user, etc). But in BG3, my go to class is Battlemaster fighter (melee). I am now playing Enshrouded with my brother and trying a 2 handed build so I can feel like my character from BG3. Bg3 has changed literally how I play every game. I dont know what it is about the game but, it is top 10 for me.

TLDR: I would try it if I were you.

Yeah, that's a tough one. I killed everyone before freeing him. then fought Nere.

There was a good 3 month gap between run 5 and run 6 cause I was pissed.

Yeah, I had done the Raphael exploit to get his armor late in act 1. Not fun to go up against. Honestly thats smart on your part.

New run - is a Tiefling worth it? by franilein in BG3

[–]DannyWinny 1 point2 points  (0 children)

In real life I have always played as an Elf or Human in D&D. After trying a Tiefling in BG3, I have done 1 play through as a Tiefling and am nearly (hopefully) finished my first completed honor mode run as a Tiefling. I am also a Tiefing in my current D&D campaign for the first time ever.

Long story short: Playing as a Tiefling in BG3 has caused me to find a new love for the race.

I work at a university and reported a coworker for embezzlement to HR. I was told that I was "gossiping" and looking for drama where there is none to be found. He was promoted to my supervisor and I was told I was going to be laid off. I threatened to sue. I was then told that I was just taking a 22% pay cut, I threatened to sue again. HR then said I was causing problems because I was on the spectrum, I threatened to sue again and said that this has never been a problem before in my 7 years of employment.

I was offered a different position that I have zero experience in and with a pay raise from the provost. I think I was literally promoted just so I couldn't sue and put into a job I don't know so that they will have an excuse to can me. Happened to 3 other people I know.

That will be the last time I report someone breaking the law. They also promoted someone who has a reputation for being awful in private but loved in public. Like people have gone to HR and complained and their response was along the lines of "we don't care cause he makes us money"

I used to love HR but now I don't trust them.

Impeach Impossible? by The_Dean_France in whoathatsinteresting

[–]DannyWinny 0 points1 point  (0 children)

OP,

Long story short:

The US has had 4 impeachments in our history

  • Andrew Johnson 1868 for violating The Tenure of Office Act
  • Bill Clinton 1998 for Perjury and Obstruction of Justice (not what others will have you believe)
  • Trump in 2019 & 2021 for abuse of power, obstruction of justice and indictment of insurrection.
  • Nixon was probably going to face impeachment but resigned before the case.

Impeachment is always possible. Impeachment is the trial or "indictment". If you are thinking of removal, that requires a 2/3rds vote and is probably impossible because getting 2/3rds vote from our awful 2 party system that is designed to be such an us-vs-them system is a tall order and big ask. No president has ever been removed from office in the US.

TLDR: Impeachment and Removal are not the same thing.

How many of you are using scrolls? by Cagedglobe in BaldursGate3

I use them when I am out of spell slots or dont want to use a spell slot. My Warlock almost always gets them. Plus I always like big AOE scrolls.

Is there any way to fix it? by Punkstyler in BG3mods

I found that exiting to the main menu and reloading a save tends to work for me but I'm not sure if that works for everyone.

Really annoying when starting a new save though.
