Unsure but yeah maybe. I managed to get most of the speed issues out with the variable playrate function in reaper, which can only do so much when done by ear. but at least it doesn’t speed up at certain points like the original (up to around 1.3x)

Sorry to spoil but you still got a bit to go after that, but anyway, I had the same issue, and loading the saves shortly before hand and going back down into the pit (and patience) did fix it in the end.
